Cochran, Eddie - Long Tall Sally Lyrics

Gonna tell aunt Mary about uncle John
He claim he got married but he havin' lots of fun
Oh baby, hey baby, whoo baby
Havin' me some fun tonight

Well, long tall Sally, she's built sweet
She got everything that uncle John need
Oh baby, hey baby, whoo baby
Havin' me some fun tonight

Well, I saw uncle John with bald headed Sally
He saw aunt Mary comin' and he ducked back in the alley
Oh baby, hey baby, ooh baby
Havin' me some fun tonight

Well, long tall Sally, she's built sweet
She got everything that uncle John need
Oh baby, hey baby, whoo baby
Havin' me some fun tonight

You know I saw uncle John with bald headed Sally
He saw aunt Mary comin' and he ducked back in the alley
Oh baby, hey baby, ooh baby
Havin' me some fun tonight

Go
I'm gonna have some fun tonight, have some fun tonight
Have some fun tonight everything's all right
Have some fun, have me some fun tonight

  2. f.... j....

De loin la meilleure version ....
    Une guitare magique...une voix venue d"ailleur !

  3. B.... B....

    c'est fantastique c'est trop trop trop mimi j'adore 💖

  4. r.... ....

Dr Cool, Eddie recorded it a year before Little Richard did,

  5. g.... f....

Une excellente version , pour moi sûrement la plus sauvage et la meilleure , interprétée par un guitariste hors pair , Eddie tu es dans nos coeurs pour toujours !

  6. F.... ....

I´m a fan of Eddie but Elvis´ version is better !!

  7. P.... V....

Not Little Richard but definitely an original and important version.

  8. Q.... C....

57 years ago today, we lost one of the greatest musician of all time. RIP Eddie.

  9. S.... A....

j'ADORE cette version , quelle intonation, il finit la voix cassée, et quelle guitare, à mon sens et pour moi la plus belle version, mieux que l'originale ( j'adore Penniman )

  10. T.... ....

good old days when music was real

  11. T.... ....

    great song

  12. T.... R....

et a la meme epoque il reprend blue suede shoes la classe

  13. D.... ....

Great take on a Little Richard classic, from a great guitar player / Rock and Roll pioneer that shall remain forever young.!  Rock it out Eddie! R.I.P man.  I was a big fan of his music.

  14. T.... R....

  16. D.... W....

    Now this is music!

  17. w.... ....

Little Richard was Cochran´s favorite singer and Cochran was passionate about Richard´s "Long Tall Sally" and that passion came thru in his own version of that song.

  18. L.... C....

you know ...that´s Rockabilly...baby...so cool,so gritty...always it sound like the first time you Heard...so pure,so great!!!
    God bless you

  19. L.... C....

    what cool.......so cool,and playng guitar...boy
    God bless you, Eddie.

  20. L.... C....

    best versión ever

  21. r.... ....

Eddie did all his own heavy guitar work, too, though he had back-up guitarists. When I saw him in concert, the only other guitarist was the bass player, who was great, BTW. I think it was Dave Shriver.

  22. b.... ....

oohw comon ok i'll be second

  23. W.... ....

@FeignofCordor We try, but it's damn hard to be that good.

  24. S.... ....

    What a legend!

  25. D.... S....

@FeignofCordor Workin' on it!! Then I'm gonna make a federation for this kind of music.

  26. S.... ....

    long live rock n roll

  27. r.... s....

Makes a one legged man wanna get up and dance!

  28. D.... ....

@FeignofCordor People wouldn't know how to handle rock n roll.....and VW's are cheaper than Cadillac's :P all the posers would have to worker harder in mcdonalds! haha

  29. V.... M....

@FeignofCordor im in a band that plays all this kind of music. dont worry. its not dyin any time soon.

  30. p.... ....

    I prefer Beatles version. <3
but I like this one too

  31. H.... ....

@babiiginaxo ,,its never too late. you can still enjoy it in youtube

  32. s.... ....

@BaalofSouls . He wouldn't let you play with his train set? lol.....loser

  33. S.... N....

I'm 21, and i absolutely LOVE this kind of music, i've always wished i lived in this time when music was actually MUSIC!

  34. w.... ....

Little Richard was Cochran´s favourite singer.

  35. b.... ....

Jealous is for the weak minded. Eddie Cochran was fabulous, but Elvis was and still is the KING of ROCK n ROLL and always will be. Enough said.

  36. B.... ....

@bren85q Hates a strong word, I dnt hate elvis, I dislike elvis, I have valid reasons for being "bitter" towards elvis, dnt wanna argue w ppl about it. everyone takes opinions too seriously, Im a musician myself, some ppl like my shit others dnt, thats the way it is.

  37. B.... ....

@bren85q I am grown, I do enjoy the music just not ELVIS. Im not into artists that cnt write there own material. I dont deny the influence he had on others but i still dnt like him, and im sick of ppl unable to handle my opinion. MUSIC IS OPINION. Y DO U THINK THERE IS POP MUISC? bc pop is short for popular, and popular dsnt mean ur a good musician. Take boy bands for example or disco, enough said

  38. B.... ....

@docdoowop looks like u are a bitch ass faggot. My musical education far excededs your feeble absent minded so caled knowledge. U need to grow the fuck up and HANDLE OTHER PPLS OPINIONS. Looks like some needs a box of kleenex emo fuck.

  39. d.... ....

    @BaalofSouls

Woah! There buddy Boy. You dont have to like Elvis at all: more for me, anyways. Just go back to listening to Justin Beiber, boy!

  40. 1.... ....

REAL ROCK-A-BILLY FROM THE KING. Little Richard is doin that song in slow motion.

  41. b.... ....

@BaalofSouls Weeeel, I wouldn't say that. Not when he was in his prime and did the Rock n' Roll without the singing pissing ants behind/beside him, aka the Jordanaries. In his prime I here mean '55 -60....then it was downhill (with a few exceptions). Take care and remember, anyway everyone IMHO have the right having an opinion, taste or whatever. All the best,
    Ro.

  42. B.... ....

@bellgardens53 FUCK ELVIS. ELVIS = Talentless hack, riff stealer

    B.... ....

BaalofSouls He just did his favorite songs. Not all composers are great singers and not all singers are great composers. Elvis was terrific singer. Far more versatile than Eddie...although he's great anyway !

  43. C.... M....

Different but good version by Eddie Cochran, a true guitar idol and a extraordinary Rocker !

  44. S.... M....

    ME TOO, I LOVE IT!!

  45. b.... ....

@RosalitaBU8 That would have been a blessing! Hahaha...I mean the 4 bugs, with the exception of John.

  46. b.... ....

@steveconn I second that...this coining of rock-a-billy here, rock-a-billy there, have gone too far. Some day someone says El's version of "Hound Dog" was rock-a-billy which it wasn't. It was ROCK'NROLL. Period! Remember when (in Sweden) all '50s music with a beat was called "50's Rock n' Roll and the later crap...'60s something and on was plain simple called "Rock"... ^_*

    b.... ....

bellgardens53 ROCKABILLY IS NOW CALLED ROCK AND ROLL. ELVIS WAS ROCKABILLY. UNTIL HE WENT DEAN MARTIN, ETC.

  47. m.... o....

Shaw him in Norwich too, F**king great, one of the best

  48. s.... c....

    @RosalitaBU8
But you claimed blues, gospel, country and zydeco are each the equivalent of rock n' roll in and of themselves, and that is simply not true.

A brick builds a house, but no one can live in a single brick.

  49. s.... c....

    @RosalitaBU8
OF course they are all distinctly different. Kids in the mid-fifties didn't suddenly get excited and rebellious over blues (a slower, earlier black music from the Delta), gospel (of the church and religious), zydeco (a cajun, accordian form of music). They became excited by the sped-up guitar-drums-bass (and in the case of Richard) form called ROCK N' ROLL. Rockabilly is a more countrified version of Rock N' Roll by people like Carl Perkins and Eddie Cochran.

  50. s.... c....

    @RosalitaBU8
No, it is an early example of straight forward ROCK N' ROLL.

  51. C.... C....

    yeah---dig you eddie----a real gasser

  52. R.... ....

One of the best rock'n rollers. Love u, Eddie Cochrane. Rest in peace, you still rock <3 We will never forget you!

  53. m.... ....

    The Beatles version is better

  54. M.... M....

    @theZodiacDigital
yeah as how Spark from Demented are go make now ;-) hehe now we can see who's the teacher.

  55. J.... S....

AWESOME MUSIC MAN! DIG THE ROCKABILLY

  56. M.... T....

    SWINGING!!!

  57. s.... c....

Not on the level of Little Richards' definitive version, but nice rockabilly take.

  58. 5.... ....

    Yes : )

  59. P.... ....

    Video? :)

    POMY COLLINGWOOD

  60. m.... ....

I love it when his voice gets really gritty. Eddie is amazing (understatement)

  61. P.... W....

Elvis did a mean version back in `57. Great picture of Eddie on stage.

  62. Z.... ....

This is good but nobody sings it like little richard

  63. S.... ....

    Man...that was BAD.

  64. j.... -....

    perfektní rock and roll

  65. 5.... ....

This is awsome i watch this video almost 10 times every day!

  66. A.... A....

i dont like the recordings with the overdubbed guitar! why would they do that? eddie still rocks

  67. t.... ....

i love the more aggressive, throaty vocals. pretty innovative.

  68. M.... B....

This is what I call Rock and Roll! Brilliant version :)
