Man this reminds me of driving to the dentist in the Chrysler Lebaron wagon with the wood panels, but it was the 8-track of Herb Alpert's version.

I keep hearing an instrumental version of this in an advertisement on TV ..haven't heard it since the 60's.I was just a young kid about 7 or so and loved it then and still loving it today. If it wasn't for the ad I may never have remembered it. Connie Francis has a version of this too but I think Petula's is better -- sorry Connie

Someday I'll be 64 with grandchildren, I'll have quit martial arts and gymnastics and video games and everything that i love by then, and I'm gonna look back and listen to a song I loved when I was 16(now) and cry.
This scares the hell out of me.

And I have no doubt that you will still be a very attractive woman even at that age my dear.  Some women just age very gracefully as I am sure you will do.  You don't have to worry about age catching up with you Larissa.

There was a station called Kool 105 that used to and I think still does play oldies. I became aware of them right when they went on the air. I thought she was sort of a kind of artist that was kind of a think of the early sixties and not much else. That could not be further from the truth as she started performing in public at the age of 12 and has such range and as an artist can go up and down the scales (forgive me I'm not a musician if the terminology is wrong). She also has done so many genres.

I agree. I like Petula,but Connie Francis had an effortless V8 voice that never struggled to reach any note.
