Derek Ipock dude is like the legends. Bowie, Prince, Clapton. You know these artists can shred like a motherfucker, but they still make music that's kind of soft and 'for tha ladies" but it's them and it's what makes them, them. Gary is the man, dude is a beast.

I enjoy this song slightly, but I almost find it disappointing. Gary's live renditions of songs are much more bluesier than this and I can't help but wonder if the production is trying to take advantage of his "black keys sound", which is an overdone sound these days by multiple bands.

this song live is at least 1000x better. He really needs to find a producer who knows how to record his sound properly. This song live is massive and Zapata destroys as well, but the album version sounds weak as shit... its really sad

This sounds like a continuation of Numb!! Which sounds awesome!!! Play Numb then this its pretty incredible.

@zbennalley Numb is my driving music. Nobody outside of Hendrix, IMO, influenced more people to pick up a guitar and learn it.

@arthur ejiofor I love Numb. That fuzz sound is modern blues but with a little touch of Hendrix. Coming through the hands of Gary that's just the beginning.

@funkymonk816 Thats an ignorant assessment. Anyone that produces among other things a fine Dr. John album is a fine musician and producer. They wear many hats only sharing one in common. I prefer both.

@SenneyKuel I was referring to raw musical talent. Gary has a larger vocal range and better guitar abilities than Dan. In terms of production, they're both great.

@SenneyKuel I've played 4 festivals with the Black Keys. They are meh at best. WAY overrated. Dan & his drummer don't play in time together (they have also admitted this in several interviews) and Dan's guitar playing is mediocre compared to Gary Clark Jr. I just opened for him, too. He's such a badass. Marketing is everything, but the truth is the truth and that's what will always come out on the stage. :)
