Clapton, Eric - White Room Lyrics
In the white room with black curtains near the station.
Blackroof country, no gold pavements, tired starlings.
Silver horses ran down moonbeams in your dark eyes.
Dawnlight smiles on you leaving, my contentment.
Wait in this place where the shadows run from themselves.
You said no strings could secure you at the station.
Platform ticket, restless diesels, goodbye windows.
I walked into such a sad time at the station.
As I walked out, felt my own need just beginning.
I'll wait in the queue when the trains come back;
Lie with you where the shadows run from themselves.
Consolation for the old wound now forgotten.
Yellow tigers crouched in jungles in her dark eyes.
She's just dressing, goodbye windows, tired starlings.
I'll sleep in this place with the lonely crowd;
Lie in the dark where the shadows run from themselves.

Clapton, Eric White Room Comments
Nathan looks like Steve Harvey. Greg looks like Kobe. And Clapton of course looks like..... Y'all know
Wow, Phil Collins with hair.
He is an under rated Drummer.
I've always thought that FRANCIS ROSSI was and is a far superior Guitarist.
In fact, I can think of a hundred Guitarists that are much better than Clapton.
I hate it when people perpetuate a myth.

That poly finished guitar sure sounds great.
I remember getting this album back in '71 or '72, Disraeli Gears, what a great album.
joker..JOKER UN clasico buenisimo.
i can barely stand to watch someone so gifted....cause i do my best to'play'........this fukker is so talented it just exceeds everybody by a zillion light years.....the articulation.the vibrato, the sheer intelligence of"micro-composition"...the lightning speed 2 step bends....the sweet-sour thing he gets going.....the style...the astonishing recognition...18 grammys....3 inductions into the R&R hall of Fame..all hugely earned....playing the same song differently every time he plays it because of the fluency and fluidity of play....for over 50 years......it's too much.....he is the living bible of great guitar work....never lost his ear for integrity of melodic architecture ....and if they give a Nobel Prize to Dylan...that's all well and good....but next time around consider Clapton......how much does a person have to contribute to art?
Here, here! What the man said!
Look out for that ambulance!
Ahí...tienen 2 de Grandes músicos en guitarra Eric clapton y en batería el gran Phil Collins.que tiempos aquellos qué no volverán.

....Lie with you where the shadows run from themselves
Unfortuneatly a not so good vid, still a great song
Wow it seems like Collins helped a lot of other bands out back in the day he was always helping out with drums for other bands. Hard worker I guess.
Did he and Prince ever play together?
in 2020 Clapton is still GOD
¿Qué tal otra broma, Murray?, ¿Qué obtienes cuando cruzas ¿un solitario mentalmente enfermo con una sociedad que lo abandona y lo trata como basura?
Phil Collins sucked as a singer but was a great drummer....................
Just love his voice at 1:24.
💙💙💙👍👍👍👌...
I first saw Eric with Cream when I was 16, and have been listening to him ever since. Every note I could. And I think this is one of his greatest solos ever, along with the "Have You Ever Loved a Women" solos in the Scorsese blues documentary. No one can construct a solo with that much passion AND structure. It is like a great short story told with sirens.
My favourite of his is live guitar solos is the one he plays on yer blues with the dirty mac at the rock n roll circus
I would not know a riff from a chord from a note if any of them bit me on the arse. BUT , I do know that Eric Clapton is a genius. His music will live on , long after the current batch of talentless tw@ts permeating the airwaves are forgotten.
Fuk off the dogs bollox end of fuk of
Great perfrmance.
Joker 2019 👅
Hes absolutely fucked in this concert, but he was like all the rock stars out of their face MOST of the time, but there is a saying that these legends performed their BEST under the influence:)
for god this man is a legend <3
214 thumbs down from slobs that don't know what good music is all about, probably born before the sixties and missed it all, sorry I feel bad for you
Is anyone as good enough as Eric on lead? Even in 2019?? EC =Magic ...
See Clapton gets a note wrong at 5.17 and he knows it :( he’s human
It can happen even to the best guitarist

I'm sad, because people came here because of the Joker. They'll never appreciate good music
And, I'm proud to say: I haven't seen the Joker yet
The fact that they came here because of the Joker makes them appreciate good music.
they wouldn't even know this song existed if it wasn't for joker. is it not a good thing more people know this song?
4:06 ladies and gentleman, Mr. Eric Clapton
I love this song and all the versions of it.
The best song in the movie THE JOKER STARRING JUAQIN PHOENIX AND BOBBY DE NIRO..

Clapton Is God.
Anyone who thinks Phil Collins gets remotely close to Ginger needs to take a long look at themselves. A terrible 80's pop version compared to the original gem.

Clapton is God!
I think I like this better than the Cream original.
Proper music
What was the year?
Greg Phillinganes & Nathan East are mocking the overdubs in the beginning.
I would love this so much more if Phil Collins wasnt playing drums as he was very insensitive about Freddie Mercury when he died. He is a Wanker in my book.
They are all human beings, with pros and cons... enjoy the music and forget all the rest and remember what it is been said of Mercury about pedophilia and homosexuality: never known if all of that was true, but who knows if Collins thought it was...
One of the best solos I've heard Clapton play in recent years!
