Clapton, Eric - See What Love Can Do Lyrics

When your world, it starts to fall apart
Look deep within, within your lonely heart.
Do your best my friend, try and understand
It's only you, pull yourself through.

When you tell your story,
Make sure your story's right;
Every little single word is true.
See what love can do.
See what love can do.

When the words are in the music, the music is the song.
The world would be so happy, if we'd all just get along.
I want to see it, a smile on every face.

So when we tell our story,
Make sure that it's right
And every single word is true.
See what love can do.
See what love can do.

So when you tell your story, honey
Make sure that it's right.
I finally proved the message true.
I see what love can do.
See what love can do.

See what love can do.
See what love can do.

When we sing the story
Make sure your song is right.
Finally proved the message true.
See what love can do.
Oh, see what love can do.

See what love can do.
See what love can do.
See what love can do.
See what love can do.

I think the message within the song grooves to all that listen. Groove to this in your daily walk of life. Walk within it's light and show that love is in you.

Theres something more than spiritual about this song...see wot luv can do...its a song that should be played to the world it has a christlike feel to it...and wasnt that his message...we are not wicked sinners yes but not wicked...end of sermon

  9. D.... C....

Clapton at his best as a singer. Guitar taking back seat. Donno why this album did not see much success. :-(

    D.... C....

    it went platinum????

I wore this CD out when it came out. Clapton is so good at playing all kinds of music from blues to country and this softer kind of rock he just excels at. Tangled in love is one of my all time favs off this album. Clapton is truly a master of his craft. And lets don't forget Steve, another great guitar player from Toto! You guys rocked this!

  11. s.... m....

Slowhand cruel nickname but isnt that the british for you

  12. T.... H....

Eric has and always will be, to me, the gold standard of not only guitar but the music of my generation. But I have to say it amazes me how he could write and perform such beautiful music of love while simultaneously treating his wife Pattie so horrendously

    T.... H....

Definitely one of the most versatile and talented musicians and guitarist ever to walk the planet! 🌞🌞🌄🌄

  13. b.... ....

  15. D.... S....

Excellent Tune, Does He Read The Music Or Is It improvised

    D.... S....

He doesn't read music charts, it's all improvised, but he added his unique feeling!

  16. D.... B....

Most under rated song when this ALBUM came out. HAHAHA

I have this album and the liner note says:
    "See what love can do"

    Nathan East: Bass Guitar

THAT is what love could do.
The human race has a lot of maturing to do.

There is nothing more powerful or barrier breaking..than Love.

  22. E.... C....

"Slow hand" for ever and ever!!

  23. D.... A....

Slow Hand, just cool. What else can you say !

  24. M.... L....

    Nice drums by Jeff Porcaro

    M.... L....

I thought Phil Collins played the drums on this album and Jeff Porcaro played on the tour. Do I have that wrong?

    M.... L....

    Jeff Porcaro – drums (2, 6)

  25. R.... G....

when you tell your story, make sure your story's right, every single word is true..

    R.... G....

The incredible insight of Jerry Lynn Williams.  Clapton CANNOT write this music. That's why he goes to artists like Jerry. This is WAY more Jerry than it is Eric. Jerry's singing the chorus.

    R.... G....

Jerry CANNOT play guitar or sing like Clapton nor has the rhythm insight as Clapton has, so that is why they collaborated to make such great music together, two artists getting along and loving their time producing together, as the message in the song indicates!
