Clapton, Eric - Roll It Over Lyrics
Go down easy and let me take my time.
Go down easy and let me take my time.
Rock me slow till I lose my mind.
[Chorus:]
Roll it over, let's take it from behind.
It's only love, God knows it ain't no crime.
You don't know how much it means to be here in your arms.
Roll it over.
Roll it over.
[Repeat First Verse]
[Repeat Second Verse]
[Chorus]

ROLL IT OVER | Derek and the Dominos | 1970
Eric and George
During those same sessions, Clapton rounded up the early, pre-Duane Allman version of Derek and the Dominos and recorded “Roll It Over,” which features Harrison on guitar. “Roll It Over” was the B-side of the band’s short-lived first single (It was pulled from shelves very soon after its release), which featured a rushed/spastic version of “Tell the Truth” on the A-side.
that's George Harrison on guitar and back up vocals
that's crazy, I was just listening to this for the first time thinking....wow Eric isn't half bad...but so is it George on the lead or Eric
Wow....yeah, I can hear him in it, now that I focus on it. George has so much more talent than ever was known during his Beatles days. He said Paul McCartney almost "ruined him as a guitar player"...however. I wonder...is this Jim Gordon on drums? Terribly sad story with his life.
Im not sure anymore - I read it a long time ago who was on which guitar. My guess is that it is Harrison on rhythm...But the lead guitar sound is very very similar to Harrisons first solo album - which Clapton did some lead work. This song was done shortly after that album was released, from people at Harrison's first solo sessions and called themselves Derek and the Dominoes. With Dave Mason and Duane Allman appearing on a few songs and live shows. Great line up of players though: Eric Clapton, George Harrison, Dave Mason, Duane Allman, Carl Radle, Bobby Whitlock and Jim Gordon on drums.
Clapton on lead....
Clapton plays the solo. Harrison plays the slide accents you hear throughout the song. Dave Mason is in there too.
