Clapton, Eric - Crossroads Lyrics
I went down to the crossroads
Fell down on my knees
I went down to the crossroads
Fell down on my knees
Asked the Lord above for mercy
I went down to the crossroads
Tried to flag a ride
I went down to the crossroads
Tried to flag a ride
Nobody seemed to know me
Everybody passed me by
I'm going down to Rosedale
Take my rider by my side
Take my rider by my side
You can still barrelhouse, baby
On the riverside
You can run, you can run
Tell my friend-boy Willie Brown
You can run, you can run
Tell my friend-boy Willie Brown
And I'm standing at the crossroads
Believe I'm sinking down

U must have missed my heart
Robert Johnson wrote this song not Eric clapton
Kendrick Britto I'm pretty sure everyone knows that. I hope. He did kind of make it his own.

Those black women are fiiiiiiinnee
He's been playing this at a gentleman's lope for so long now you cld almost
forget what a shame it is that he ever decided to go that route. Almost.
music saves me
Rhythm Section: Steve Gadd and Willie Meeks
Lou Michaels I love how Gadd plays the snare so on top of the beat pushing the groove forward yet feels good and so buoyant!!
Almost sounds like a tracy chapman song lol
Good to see those pentatonic scales getting a real workout...
OMG!!!!!! The best guitar player of all times! I put Slash at second place, but ERIC is far way better!!!
Clapton is God
I’m going down to Rosedale.....,
absulut top
What we gonna do when all these legends are dead..
I think of the same things and it makes me sad.
Yeah man, he ain't that bad, needs to stop taking himself so God damn seriously, play his "special guitars" and just get on with it, I think y all know what I'm a saying, yeah man, chill out dudes.
I swear anyone in this world who wants to play blues with his guitar right now should've watched at Mr. Clapton.
Was an amazing guitarist in the old times . Still is nice to hear old guitar pentatonic scales .not my cup of tea anymore . But we all get passed by the new generation
Eric Johnson rips the pentatonic scale a new asshole. I never get tired of hearing him shred.
"Crossroads" mal als Heavy Bluesrock 2010 beim Festival in Chicago.
On bass . . . Willie Weeks, y'all.
On my FB page, there is no way without Eric Clapton, no way without John Fogerty, no way without The Beatles (all together or not) and family.

You've listened to this song like million times but I was just so addicted to this version
Is Eric Clapton G*D? Yes! He's BIGGER AND BETTER THAN GOD!
Does that make sense? Nah... ERIC CLAPTON IS GOD! 'NUFF SAID!
Please forgive me Lord Clapton, I've had a bit to drink. SO SORRY!
The first comment i wrote sounded better in my head. LONG LIVE CLAPTON!
Robert ❤️🎸

There is nothing like a couple of sisters to make this song come alive!
I like his hair like this...perfect....
everything were on point about that performance
That lick at 2:06 that culminates in that sweet bend is just lush...And his tone!
My 16 year old grandson has covered this. Would love to know what you think

I still don't get it why EC shifted from Gibson to Fender. He really
sounds great with a Gibson -- the brand he used during his Mayall and
Cream days.
The time when he was baptized as Guitar God.
Anybody knows the reason why
EC uses Fender more than Gibson?
Thank you.
Peace!
1:39 👏🏼
582 people are generation z and millennial idiots who don't know what real music is and just ignore them and Cream sold their souls at the crossroads just like me 44 years ago.
Thanks god create such a wonderful rock man
pop-up adds and telemarketers, the legacy of mankind. have a nice day?
Whoever gave this a thumb down... go to the mirror and stare into your own empty eyes.. and say I'm knowone..!

Up tempo as per Cream, please !!!!!
Eric, you came to hear me play in San Francisco!
When I first opened for Mr. John Lee Hooker, he was so kind to me!
The people started screaming and he thought that I was as famous as him!
I was not!
William D. Burton
Cat Stevens/Yusuf Islam was my first fan. Mr. Hooker and Muddy Waters were 2 and 3!

Steve Gadd..
He is like wine , the older the better .

We've got clapton on guitar, iggy pop on the hammond and lula da silva rockin the drums!!
Don't know the bass man though, any ideas???
Willie Weeks on bass
Are Eric Clapton make a deals with devil on Crossroads?
EC in my opinion the Babe Ruth of rock/blues musicians. The man, the myth, the legend. Always hits them out of the park and has been doing so since the 60’s. Bravo slowhand!
Best version ever
yeah he is good...this is how we do that in Serbia..the war already started ..well..https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AG9IsXlw5BY
Too slow. Yes, I can play it.
🎼🎸😎👍
Clapton's solos are never the same
Never realized just how good Clapton's voice is. Damn
Eric Clapton

3:57 just wow
Love the slow blues version of this song. I would Love to play the drums on this song with him.
This is amazing
Let’s talk about his haircut for a moment please
ladies on BV's, fantastic
Erics sound - that wooly sustain, is had with the use of a 18db Mid boost active circuit in his guitar... of course his amps also are the best.. Either the high end hand wired Fender vintage style, or the modern boutique fare.. Hand wound custom shop pickups, and a great neck and solid hunk of wood for mass and sustain... his tone is Not shrill like some who weild a Strat. that is a Master at work. Clapton is still and always will be GOD.
E um luxo ouvir esses caras tocar.
EC's still got it
THIS MAN IS A LIVING LEGEND
Otro blanco robándose la música negra.
Eric Fantastique
Wonder what kind of finish is on that Stratocaster?
2:47...check out that chord ! hahahahaha
Saw him with Cream in 1968....and again in 1971 with Derek and the Dominoes....ah, the ole days.
Just wish so much I could block out the piano, revue singers and stodgy rhythm section... but the you would need Jack and Ginger, too, wouldn’t you? Clapton is great, but playing so much within a comfortable style here that I’m bored.
Eric still so good
this is the best version in my humble opinion. love listening and playing this <3
Mustafa Can Kaya my 16 year old grandson attempted this atopen mic last night. Would love to know what you think https://youtu.be/fKqYHNWa8wM
Great but this version is better for me: https://youtu.be/AG9IsXlw5BY

Jeezus Eric, y’all got some dollars, get dressed like something other than a pan-handler.

Can someone please tell me what shade of blue his guitar is he always has great taste in guitars keep up with the great work Eric Clapton
I think the color is daphne blue.
Lord Jesus
Can blue men sing the whites ?????? Undubudibly.
époustouflant Eric, au sommet de son art talentueux personnage continue à nous faire réver
A gifted genius.
Still God keeps playing the blues
Eric Sublime
WOW! Some performance.
as I'm playing this video someone in their twenties walks in to my office and says "what are you listening to"? i said its an old song by a guy named Robert Johnson. He looks at Clapton and says"is that him? I say no, That's Eric Clapton. He said who's that?
Fuck hahahahaha
This song is cursed
