No hes actually very old here, and died a couple years after this, he had a life of live preforming and entertaining people. He did a crazy good job here with both tracks!. Mind you it's his band, he worked on this song with them for 30 years. Bare in mind his voice is supposed to go flat and high. Nah nah very good performance "After midnigght"

I'm sorry but this live version is completely devoid of any sort of enthusiasm the original has. There's no upbeat, he's constantly singing in a flat tone and it just butchers it. Just because it's different it doesn't mean it's good, he's singing as if he's bored.

I love it. Hard twang of the syllables on the two and four beats, then slide down off the notes at the end of a phrase, in a typical blues style. Grungy finger-style riffs driving the rhythm, alongside Clapton's tighter playing. I like it raw like this better than upbeat early rock style, but each to their own.

It wouldn't matter who was on stage with him he just plays it his way with his feel! I love it. There he is with EC on stage and he is not intimidated one bit. Great video and a good look at some of music's best when it comes to natural talent. Rock On!!
