Church, Eric - Sinners Like Me Lyrics
I was fifteen when my daddy's old man
Caught me half way through my first beer
He laughed so hard when my face turned green
He said “You come from a long line of sinners like me”
But he don't have much to say anymore
So we sit on his headstone with a fifth of Jack D.
Here's to a long line of sinners like me
La de dah de dah
La de dah dah de de
I come from a long line of sinners like me
My mama had a soft spot for a hell raisin' boy
So she had two more just like him
It takes an angel to raise a family
Well now maybe who knows one day I'll settle down
Give my dad a grandson of his own
And when the doctor smacks him, he'll probably take a swing
Cause he'll come from a long line of sinners like me
La de dah de dah
La de dah dah de de
I come from a long line of sinners like me
On the day I die
I know where I'm gonna go
Me and Jesus got that part worked out
I'll wait at the gates til his face I see
And stand in a long line of sinners like me
I'll stand in a long line of sinners like me
La de dah de dah
La de dah dah de de
I come from a long line of sinners like me
La de dah de dah
La de dah dah de de
Here’s to a long line of sinners like me
I come from a long line of sinners like me

After all these years after and looking at the comment section, it is unbelievable how kind people can be in the comment section in today's day of age <3
Sinners are also saints . ! .
Don't read comments it ruins ur listening experience

Hey people quit just talking about religion and listen to the song there is more than just religion in the song it also talks about love and that is the most important thing in life and it is something that we all need to do more of!!!!!
So if you are with me make this
Blue👇👇👇👇👇
Ps. The reason I say this is because most of these comments are about people who are saying bad this about religion and I dont stand for that because I am a Christian and not afraid to say that I dont care what people think .
Love the smack him he'll take a swing how my dad said i was. I never really knew my dads granddad he left me at 8 yrs old on christmas i watched him leave and he never came back. My dad swore to me he was gonna never be like him shortly after we lost my 3 yr old brother and 15 yrs later my dad has been my idol giving me the family company and showed me the way. Yes we fight we drink we smoke but my father has never once left me alone. Even when were back to back against 10 people in a bar were right there giving it all lol my dad is the reason my wife loves how rough and wild i am
The thing is all of us were scared to be caught drinkin by our dad but it turns out it's our momma's that would beat our ass for things like that
I was 2 when my daddy caught me drinking his whole beer no joke I still wish I could get drunk off one beer lol I'll be in that long line
Who with a soul dislikes this song.
Was always taught that if going to drink or smoke be honest and never tried to hide it
Its June of 2019 and this is still a banger from the coast of NC!!
2019 still strong
Grandpa isn’t a drinker but his relatives long gone and my own fathers side filled with alcoholics which eventually got me.. fighting to stop but I’m young and want to enjoy the buzz... a conundrum.. I’ll figure it out but I am sinner which runs in the family.. proud of my family line though.
I drank my first beer when I was 2. Dad said I drank almost the whole thing. I'm drinking a beer now 27 yrs later.
fuck this
My dad catched me while i was drinking at 13, but he said nothing, my mom yelling him why he let me do it without some small punish, he just silence, and now i know from my grandpa, my dad started at 11, and my grandpa same 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I was 6 when my gpa caught me w his Marlboro reds

Thumb up for u fam
I'm the biggest of all saved by grace

Standing right here.
If god does not like the way I live, he can tell me, not you.
Sinners like me ✌😂
I guess i got too much of my uncles in me. They r sinners like me
Sinners vs christians
sinner are winner so i care abt my religion
I grew up in the city from 0-14 and spent 2 years on my aunts ranch with 2 horses and like 2 chickens and I worked for a black man named joe Smith. (I know right lol) and cleaned up after and moved from pasture to pasture 36 horses and listened to alot of country and gained alot of love and knowledge about country life. Moved back to the city at 17. George strait, Alan jackson, Brooks n dunn, Toby keith, Eric church, Rodney Atkins and Jason Alden were my shit. But rock and hip hop are still my favorite genres because they provide so much energy and lyrical content and keep changing. and country has just faded out. Unless it's some form or country hip hop its just not relevant. Idk why I'm just being real. Florida georgia line and luke Bryan are just not my shit. And if I hear meant to be 1 more time I might kill myself.
We’ve all came from a long line of sinners like us, be proud of them and remember where you came from
Reminds me of my mom. Im just 24. I still need you😖 R.I.P💔💗
My Mom died in 2010. I bought EC with a badass bandy @lbulm cover cd for my Dad who was born in 42...he was like..wtf....I was like, wtf from me to ypu, Dad. Quite frankly this is before church started wearing mascara and I respected anymore because his jeans actually hung right around his ass.
Greatest song ever by arguably the greatest singer/song writer ever. Praise God for the grace and mercy none of us deserve
All black sheep come from a long line of sinners......like me....jus sayin'
I was like 10 when my grandpa gave me my first beer and i still drink to this day
this guy is a total dipstick, said Vegas shooting was fault of NRA. Proof you can be talented and still dumb as a rock. Rock star takes on a whole new meaning here.
This song reminds me of my dad
O yeah well I got into showbiz after being a criminal from hell who would have thought getting shot with golden bullets praise God And my Father in heaven Amen .+3

That long line of sinners has some of the best hearts in this world..... we all do our wrong in our life but we all do our share of right along the way

It doesn't get any more real than Eric Church. He. Is. The. Man.
I come from a very long line of sinners
My favorite artist hands down
Can I get an AMEN at least people!!??!!? Lol
we're way to quick to call ourselves or others sinners . most of what we do is called being human were all the same and "it's ok". i reserve the word sinners for the ones who really deserve it.
my old man always said I'd never amount to much!
Awesome! One of my favorites!
We all pick our habits. My granddad died from COPD 15 years after he quit smoking, the pall malls caught up to him finally. My Dad is on a inhaler now but he ain't one to quit. I'm stuck eight thousand miles from my wife right now, with a baby on the way, and I'm fighting down the urge to smoke every day. I won't let my kids see me weak like that. I want healthy children who make good choices, and I want to save that cigarette money toward a education for them. Here's to breaking the chain.
Vesar tus labios es lo que quiero tus ojos penetrantes
