This song was written and sung originally by a brilliant Irish singer songwriter named Paul Brady. Tina Turner did a wonderful version of Paul's song. Cher's version is very powerful and more fun than Paul Brady ever intended it to sound.

It's a neat find for us Americans (although I have had this version for many years). Sometimes people in other countries just don't know that alternate versions exist. It's all good. Everyone calm down and Cher the love of this great version.
Additionally, Tina Turner's version is amazing as well. I don't think the two should be compared because Cher and Tina are two different artists with two different approaches to the tune.

The UK version of IAMW was far superior. Although the American edit of Angels Running is better.
So different to Tina's yet so uniquely beautifull.
This is the version on the UK edition of It's A Man's World. It's not rare at all
+Glen Brett in Italy it's the most common version. It is not only the UK version, it is the European version. I had to look for the US version which is "rare" here...
Are you sure Cher's version predates Tina Turner's better version? Tina's version has the awesome saxophone.
Tina Turners version was first. Tinas was in 1986 and Chers was in 1995
