Great singer, great song. I went to Charley's concerts a few times in Dublin, Ireland. An Irish Band, Jim Tobin and the Firehouse recorded this song back in the seventies.

When i hear Charley i always feel better than before ,,

I remember the first time I heard Charley Pride sing. Someone told me he was black. I was surprised, but only because I had never heard a black man singing country music. I liked his singing then and I still do. To me it was the same as listening to Fats Domino, Little Richard, Nat King Cole and any number of black singers. I was never  bothered by the fact that he was black. I would like to believe that the majority of people that liked country music, could recognize his talent and accept him for that. That's just my opinion. God Bless us all.
