Cattle Decapitation Nightcrawler Comments
are there any videos of them playing this stuff live?
This cover reminds me of the cover of, "Thou shalt not kill" By Antidote.
The Locust Decapitation.
At this point Cattle Decap was like The Locust 2.0. Crazy to think how they have evolved. Still good as shit demo.
Also anyone who says this stuff isnt better than the deathgrind stuff, yall gotta go back to school, powerviolence RULES and this is what it was and totally different from what the band is now. Honestly i would consider those 2 different bands. Not saying its a moral rule to be one thing and switch up but they are two separate genres and if you ask me this stuff totally tops most of my favorite death metal albums and is up there with my top grindcore bands even tho this isnt grindcore, this is POWERVIOLENCE
Its crazy how current drummer of The Locust played GUITAR in this recording, and the EX drummer of the same band were playing in this together. Would be a more interesting thing to see them still play in the same band. I may have my details mixed up but damn that still blows my mind and i LOVE the Locust!
Best album
Best thing they ever put out
This was HIGHLY sought after back in the day.
fuck travisblablabla this is their best period
2 jagoffz @ this juncture...Respect son!
go vegan
cory leblanc yeah man
Listen to this at 1.25x speed.... seriously, wow.
Lmao where y'all hearing the powerviolence here? This ain't Infest or SPAZZ. If anything it sounds closer towards Rorschach and Acme, both bands that played dissonant, abrasive as fuck '90s metalcore.
5:22 Grooviest bass line I’ve ever heard.
This is like a heavier version of The Locust self titled album that is half the size. Amazing demo.
If I was going to torture someone with music, this would work imo, also the bubsy 3D ost and Faithful & True dethcore band are just awful. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
nice powerviolence release with screamo-esque vocals. they remind me of i wrote haikus about cannibalism in your yearbook
This is actually pretty good. haha
Whoa! The opening track makes you think they're going to be like some post-hardcore band like Norma Jean or The Chariot. No wonder they had to make merch that said "Gore not Core". They probably got sick of seeing people do the ninja pit thing at their local shows. lol. It is definitely evident that they went more for a death metal style/sound after this with Human Jerky. I bet they intentionally, while recorded, stopped to make sure nothing sounded "core" haha. I fucking love this band and I'm not talking shit in the least. I love everything they've ever done, including this demo. Favorite death metal band ever.
OMG HOW THE FUCK DID I NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS ALBUM BY CATTLE?
this is my jam!
bsaically the locust without synths LOL (even though there are some here)
this is sick though, what an awesome initial release of what is basically a different band
1. Priest Of Ass
The once lilly-white collar
Stained with sodomized blood
Molested children. Image of Purity
Soiled. Still blinded by their inbred
Faith they pay you rape their young
2. The Axe Will Fall
The Brutal rape of creation
Spawns blistering radiation
The vermin feed on your
Charred decaying carrion
3. Mad Cow Conspiracy
Fattened for Slaughter
Unknowingly feating on the
Ground up brains of their kind
Cannibal cattle plague
Carnivorous humans die
4. Parasitic Infestation
Leeches. Hollow essence suckers
Anthrax infected vampire sheep feeding
Off their hosts. Aliens drain cows blood
Seared open by lasers. Bovine dismembered
Sponges sucking dry. Mindless fucking
Clones lacking in substance multiply
5. Projectile Vomit
They try to flush shit down
Our throats but there's no
Masking the stench. Purge
Regurgitation spat back
In their bloated faces
6. Flesheating Disease
Repulsively disfigured
You become reclusive.
Embarrased to seek
Treatment you fester
(Infection thrives)
Flesh swallowed while
By cystic lesions.
Fear of ridicule. Death
As you suffer alone
7. Species Of Feces
Murderous shitbreeders
Desecrate & Pollute the earth
Nature's mistake. Humanure
8. Bodysnatcher
Brainwashed. Possessed.
I dont even know who you are anymore.
Abducted.
Pod person.
Even you don't konw who you are.
Regression.
Metamorphosis for shit
9. Christ On Crack
...FUCHRISTIANS
10. Nightcrawler
Snorted salvation
Methamphetamine inhilation
An army of skeletal
Zombies looking for a fix
Survival of the sick
The lyrics kinda sound like a woman being incredibly violently raped with machetes and serrated metal dildos.
And it couldn't be any more adequate.
sorry this vocalist sounds like some guy throwing a tantrum...love where this band ended up tho!
what the fuck happened to them man . .
I like their modern style better, but damn this album cover is their best
nah fuck Cattle decapitation
Is it though?
Edward Eagle Haggerty Jr
Jeremy Charles Holmes
We Are Back!
that's me.
hi I got my axe let's roll
me the butcher on the CD and Karma bloody karma are gonna tear your cattle decapitation add down
625 Overlook st Culpeper VA 22701
the 666 tormented damned
bring the world on cattle decapitation
angry sad confused
fuck with me
that's me ed
Damn the band has changed a lot. Compare this powerviolenceish album to their new progressive grind stuff. It's like they are a new band.
They are. None of the original members is left.
TheSpineSplitter94 Technically they are the same band because Travis ( their current vocalist ) was involved in the artwork and shipping of the demo itself.
This and Orchid is the only Powerviolence I think I'll ever be able to stand
Orchid (by Opeth) isn't power violence. It's blackened death metal
Devin Mays he's talking about the DC powerviolence band Orchid
you see this little releases vocals style leads more towards emoviolenve where the instrumentation is straight powerviolence with some grindcore influence
In what world is Orchid powerviolence and not screamo? People who think this or Orchid are pv should go listen to Infest and No Comment asap. Then listen to the screamo/metalcore stuff like Iconoclast and realize that’s what this ep is.
Kas it’s been years since I’ve checked this comment but I’ve grown a bit musically. I made that comment when I was a freshmen and I’m a senior now so I kind of regret even commenting that. Anyway, orchid is screamo but it’s definitely got powerviolence in there. But as a whole I like powerviolence now, it’s just something that took time to grow on me
Oh. There IS! less than coincidence that caused The Locust and Cattle to become something of brother bands
Yep. So differentf
Their new work is great, and so is this too. They're a completely different band now though. This sounds a lot more like hardcore/noise rock. Today they're obviously a metal band.
this is grindcore with slight powerviolence characteristics
No, this is powerviolence with slight grindcore influences
+Neal Garbenis his doesn’t sound like pv, sounds like grind + 90s metalcore and some screamo thrown in. What fake ass pv are y’all listening to?
This sounds epic !
Love the vocalist even tho' Travis does it better
+Stephen Blackman It's different though, i don't think Travis would enjoy ripping his voice chords for 8 minutes in a row like this guy does, much more technique in Travis's voice
Of corse it's different, they're different vocalists with different styles
I just love both sounds ^_^
They've changed so much... Definitely for the better.
i love it all, it would be cool if they did a single with the grind vibe like their old stuff
Fuck Yeah...
idk i mean im obviously a fan of the travis ryan and what he did with the band but this is good in its own way. its simple and less metal.
actually i find this to be better than the current band, more raw, more energetic, disjointed, creative, experimental, funny and what not this shit is fun to listen to
This is a lot better than i thought it would be
i was about to comment the samething
This is a fucking masterpiece
I have the clear vinyl , it is awesome.
@stealthops dam you !!!
i used to have it until some mouthbreather stole it from me
stealthops I need to get it soon! I want to complete my discography of cattle decap. I have anthropocene on cd and to serve man and karma on vinyl. I just ordered humanure on cd since indie merch was having a sale
It wouldn't be Grindcore (or any of its derivatives) without ridiculously short songs.
And it wouldn't be a 90's metal band EP without the song names being cheesy
And it wouldn't be Grindcore without the lyrics being composed of yelling "YAHYAAAHHH!!! YAHHYAHH!!" repeatedly.
the genre is actually powerviolence until they changed their music
This isn't Powerviolence at all. This is literally Metalcore with a lot of Screamo influences. You can hear Orchid and OEGP mixed into Acme style metalcore. There's no connection to Infest, Crossed Out, or No Comment.
I'm not into these scenes at all (was looking up "torments of the damned" for other reasons) but the moment I heard the noisy guitar and the screaming I just knew there were gonna be kids in the comments arguing about what subgenre of fruitycore black screamo metal this album/band really belongs to lmao
Christ, I'm really glad Travis is on vocals now, even though this album sounds more like power-violence, he still would have worked better than this guy. Seth from Anal Cunt sounds better than this guy
@Flood Well, what he's doing fits the genre well. If you don't like the vocals, you probably don't like Gore Grind style very much.
At any rate, terrible or not, they're STILL 10x better than this guys!! This is trash, put this guy on another instrument and unplug it if you have to
+N. Hale Green
the best part for me are the vocals
@N. Hale Green
Cattle Decap was never goregrind though...
I'm a huge grind fan, and the cattle decap vocalist is plain shit compared to what you can find.
+Flood please name 5 bands with vocalists with a technique better than Travis's
this is raw as it gets. i love travis but come on this is so fitting
Back when they were actually good
@Luca Gordon LOL I HOPE THIS IS A FUCKING JOKE
@Black Projex this is the best of their albums in my opinion
I like this album in a totally different way from how I like the rest of their discography (of course, because they were an entirely different band), but my true adoration for their music lies in The Harvest Floor, and I would say Monolith of Inhumanity, but in seeing what Monolith was transitioning to... I have somewhat reevaluated my views of that album.
Lol wtf? This is a joke right?
yeah i agree, they don't suck now but this is def better than what they are putting out now
How come they don't play this live????
@Runos9999 but this ep isn't what they are, it wouldn't make sense to play their modern stuff and then all of a sudden play nightcrawler
@Enzo Norabuena doesn't matter, it's still possible and I'm sure a good portion of their fans would love it, I know I would
@Runos9999 not really, the majority of their fans aren't aware of this release as well as this isn't who they are. currently they are going for their own take on death metal (note the weird highs on their latest release), so they wouldn't want to play any powervoilence
@Enzo Norabuena it's still possible to play old shit in their newer style, and I bet even the fans who don't know of their old releases would still like it to an extent, I never slightly implied that this "is them", I'm just saying they can play/cover a song or two off of this album when playing live and it'll be all good, because it's just more grind for the grind fans to eat up.
Because this was essentially a different band. None of the same members as today.
i love that they included mad cow conspiracy in human jerky
best of theyr albums
Tbh the human jerky re-recordings don't seem that great. I think it may have to do with the lack of bass, but "flesh eating disease" still sounds great
@Enzo Norabuena
yea agreed
this is my favorite album i eaven have it on withe vinyl :D
love it
@totally not a flower finding a vinyl copy is hard asf. Where did you get it and what does the cover look like? (there are three different types)
from what i know theres just one vercion whit 3 drawing
in the font the priest http://www.cultmetal.com/files/DSC01071.JPG
in the back the one of your photo
and in the inside (its kinda of a book )
the devil
https://s3.amazonaws.com/img.deadformat.net/release/l/4314_1063522041851.jpg
i have the re impression of 2010 (for the pass out of ben katz ) theres only 500 copies of the on i have
the original they are approximately 4000
Amusing to listen to this while playing wow with a Tauren
and thus began a new era in vegitarian deathgrind
No member of Cattle D in the band today are in this recording. It's practically a totally different band.
I heard the same drummer stuck around for awhile then joined the Locust. Still crazy, almost like napalm death lol
very weird to hear them without travis ryan. I still love this though.
This is really sick, feels more like a Powerviolence EP!
