Most romanticized outlaws were really just psychopaths and murderers who became folk heroes simply because the people hated the government more than they hated criminals. But Ned Kelly is the only outlaw I can think of who actually was a hero. And just a good guy.

I think a lot about how when he was 11, he saved a younger boy from drowning. To me that says that he either wasn't always bad or wasn't completely bad. He may have crossed the line several times but I don't deny that he was pushed there pretty harshly. I know that there have been some people who doubt the story of his saving the boy because the boy didn't really talk about it later in life apart from saying that Ned Kelly was 'alright', but when I hear that theory I think "But if it didn't happen why did he say so when Ned became known as an outlaw? If it didn't happen, wouldn't that be the perfect time to say so? And maybe he didn't say that much about the incident because he didn't want to look like he was sympathising with an outlaw?' Like I said, we shouldn't forget that he did that alongside everything else he did, and we shouldn't forget that the VIctorian police weren't exactly a league of saints either.

The skull was not DNA linked to Kelly Family, the skull instead maybe that of Frederick Bailey Deeming, who was executed in Australia in 1892 for killing his wives, and was claimed by some to be Jack the Ripper, Like Kelly, Deeming was buried in the grounds of Old Melbourne Gaol, But the search proved fruitless, as his relatives were from the wrong lineage.
