I know David Foster's favorite singers to work with were Whitney Houston and Celine Dion (I suspect because they just learned the songs and took direction from him as they weren't songwriters, as opposed to Mariah who requires that she be involved from the very start of writing, and then producing the song), but this performance must have left him awestruck. Too bad this didn't even make the cut on Rainbow. Released and promoted properly, this could have been a big hit. What a beautiful, melancholy song!
