Canned Heat - Rollin' And Tumblin', Part 2 Lyrics

Oh well, a-rollin' and a-tumblin', baby, I cried the whole night long
Oh well, a-rollin' and a-tumblin', baby, I cried the whole night long
Oh well, I had the feeling, baby, that something was going on wrong.

Oh well, I tried last night, papa, I tried the night before
Oh well, I tried last night, papa, I tried the night before
Oh well, I had the feeling, baby, that you don't love me no more.

Well, if the river was whiskey, I was a diving duck
Well, if the river was whiskey, I was a diving duck
Well, I would swimm to the bottom, baby, I wouldn't come home.

Oh well, a-rollin' and a-tumblin', baby, I cried the whole night long
Oh well, a-rollin' and a-tumblin', baby, I cried the whole night long
Oh well, I had the feeling, baby, that something was going on wrong.

RIP the bear and the blind owl
Monterey was distinguished in having been a concert overly populated with the hells angels as security .....
Three members of the 27 club played there- jimi janis and blind owl all died too soon at 27 ...

  46. T.... ....

Awesome song but horrible camera dude

  47. D.... M....

  50. C.... S....

  52. .... ....

    Και γαμώ τις τραγουδάρες!!!

  53. R.... C....

80% of rock bands in 1960's covertly funded by CIA. Why ? They needed to recast anti war movement as nothing but a movement of  dirty, long haired slobs who were using drugs and thus they were anti- American and Anti-War. CIA supplied 75% of illegal drugs to American streets.  Reality was  90% of Anti War Americans were clean cut, hard working whites with short hair who never used drugs and flew the flag.
Rarely if ever were rock band members tossed into jail for drugs. Half could not sing and the other half could not play.

  54. S.... o....

The crowd looked pretty straight for a Canned Heat gig. They probably thought we were too, but we weren't .

  55. B.... ....

    fito on fire

    B.... ....

    Frank Cook on fire!

  56. r.... ....

I was in junior high school when Monterey Pop "happened".  I only live about 40 miles away and even though I was too young to attend it was still a BIG DEAL for us in coastal Central California.  A local TV station teamed up with a local FM station and did nightly showing so we could watch it on TV and sync up our stereos.  Show was simulcast at midnight and between local TV and our local favorite Rock Station on Stereo it was frigging GREAT.  Just us kids rocking out at midnight.  It still feels like I was there!  If only I had been 6-8 years older...

  57. j.... d....

    Cream is far better.

  65. r.... a....

Larry the mole Taylor on bass doesn't take much to see why they called him the mole ,,I believe he's still alive and playing he was a great influence on me as a bass player

    Scuse language.

  91. m.... ....

I like how the Hells Angels politely took their seats, a far cry from two years later at Altamont where they pounded the concertgoers with pool cues.

    m.... ....

I was thinking the same thing. They had a part in ruining this whole movement

    m.... ....

@Jack Straw they were hired as security for Altamont.

  92. B.... B....

Monterey had a completely different FEEL to it than WOODSTOCK did in 1969. The VIETNAM CONFLICT hadnt totally slaMMED the youth conciousness that HEY!!,thats is OUR GENERATION that is getting massacred here WTF that aint right.. Furthermore JFK,as well as MALCOLMX were the only 2men that were AHEM UNCERMONIONOUSLY REMOVED from our ADVACEMENT forward as a nation and as a people.Fast forward to 1968,and politicsaround the globe HAVE NOT BEEN THE SAME SINCE. Politics is still stuck there.RFK,MLK,and DEMOCRATIC CONVENTION in CHICAGO on MICHIGAN AVENUE and theINTERNATIONAL AMPHITHEATER on west HALSTED set the stage for the 69 moon landings with WOODSTOCK hot on its heels. Upstate NEW YORK in theCATSKILL om MAX YASGURS summed up the entire decade.People had had ENUFF!!! The music at WOODSTOCK more physical than at MONTEREY which was more ARTSY!!!!

  93. D.... I....

Short haired blond wearing sunglasses and plaid jacket: just way too cool for skool.....

  94. A.... A....

Bob the Bear! Don't forget to boogie.

  95. B.... J....

Rock music IS drugs all by itself.

  96. D.... I....

    I wanna be a hipster!!

  97. T.... B....

I was just 26 at the time of Woodstock! It was a wonderful to be young & alive!
