Campbell, Tevin - Impossible Dream Lyrics
To dream the impossible dream,
To fight the unbeatable foe,
To bear with unbearable sorrow,
To run where the brave dare not go...
To love pure and chaste from afar,
To try when your arms are too weary
To reach the unreachable star!
This is my quest -
To follow that star
No matter how hopeless,
No matter how far -
To fight for the right
Without question or pause,
For a heavenly cause!
And I know
If I'll only be true
To this glorious quest
That my heart
Will be peaceful and calm
When I'm laid to my rest.
And the world will be better for this
That one man, scorned and covered with scars,
Still strove with his last ounce of courage
To reach the unreachable stars!

Fantastic version of this beautiful song
To dream the impossible dream
To fight the unbeatable foe
To bear with unbearable sorrow
To run where the brave dare not go
To right the unrightable wrong
To love pure and chaste from afar
To try when your arms are too weary
To reach the unreachable star
This is my quest, to follow that star
No matter how hopeless, no matter how far
To fight for the right
Without question or pause
To be willing to march

That one man scorned and covered with scars

To fight the unbeatable foe
To reach the unreachable star
His vocals are amazing I love the lyrics he is so missed in the industry
On this song Tevin Campbell started out with very good tones, and as usual great vocal control, but the song fell apart from 2:07 when each line became monotonous due to vocal stress, ending each line with the same tonal down turn, then ending the song with a lackluster finish.
Luv Tevin Campbell. South African fan here.
Sensacional!!!Gratidão!!!
💕💕
This is so beautiful........My My My
Nice, but....the temptations version and arrangement is simply different class....
this song is wonderful. he's got one great voice.
Ooooh Tevin Campbell!
Beautiful and very well done!
Beautiful...OMG he reminds me so much of Whitney Houston. His runs, the way he sings. The soulful sound in his voice. A very talented singer.
Rhythm & Blues (Soul) I agree
Rhythm & Blues (Soul) you think he met Whitney while she was alive? I ask him on twitter but he didnt answer the question he just liked the question. It would dope if he did a song with some of Whitney's vocals on it or Mariah Carey!!
OMG! I always think of him like that! Like a Male Whitney Houston version! Hahah
@Shateke Bennett MAN IVE ALWAYS THOUGHT THIS OF HIM,..HOWEVER HE DID A VERSION OF(( DO YOU HEAR WHAT I HEAR)),..AND I KNOW HE(CHANNELED) WAS A FAN OF WHITNEYS,...HE KILLED THAT SONG SO EFFORTLESSLY..
As a Luther fan, I prefer this version ..... how ever, cant say the same for "Knocks me off my feet".
Andre Olton Tevin Canpbell listened to Luther Vandross's version to create his version, this to me is a miss. when he did it live it sounded better, but did not pull it off like Luther did. He has very good vocal tones but this song is a very difficult song to perform and he fell short.
Omega1st terrible this was way more vocally controlled than his live. His live just hit higher notes. This was also way more soulful than Luther’s. Luther’s May have perhaps been referenced first by a white person. Tevin Campbell did this song best TO DATE.
This rendition is way much superior outside opera theatres
HE HAS AND GIFT AS YOU CAN HEAR!!!
Beautiful. ..
There is No way luthers was better. His interpretation is supreme.
+Hosea Santana .... I totally agree. Pitch, tone, arrangement, and vocals are superb.............
Hosea Santana Luther Vandross's version is better considering vocal control and mature vocal expression.
Luther Vandross (Live) Impossible Dream 1996 American Music Awards.
This is good; but Luther's version its great.
Listen to the Temptations version with David Ruffin on lead.
Luther vandros has the best rendition
What?! Are u serious?
Both versions are different, and have qualities that set them aside that make them both incredible renditions.
@kelvincarlisle75 He is not only serious but correct.
To me Luther Vandroos is the BEST version I ever heard. Check it out.
Frederick Nickens
Luther Vandross did a better version.
I miss these song god bless 💖💖
Awesome voice, beautiful rendition!
The best sung version hands down!!!!
Judah NYC
