I saw these guys by accident in 1980 at a Club in NYC called Hurrah, they were playing in front of maybe five people. I was 18 years old. All the bands from England were starting to come over from the states, the biggest one thar year being the Clash who played i think eleven sold ot shows at a place called, Bond, also in NYC. A very good time to be eighteen.

Every Mother in the 70's had her favorite salad or pudding bowl for cutting hair!
My hairstyle mutated from Brylcremed Child rocker (around 12yr ish circa 75/76) to dry frizzy Afro (circa 1978) to ( Celtic Ringlets +circa early1979 ) to full hardcore green haired punk in Mid 79 to 1980. Being poorish back then it was nearly always mum's bowl haircuts in terms of the outward shape. The texture and later color, I could control. A year after this I cut my own hair-or didn't!
I was naturally an Afro texture frizzy despite being about 99% white. Very tiny Melanesian fraction I later found out through a DNA test !
Now I just find it amusing to remember I actually had quite a bit of hair once!
