This is one of the most beautiful songs ever recorded... I love the way Painters Link transitions into Sunset and the way Kate paints these dramatic emotional landscapes with the lyrics.... This was the soundtrack to my mom's memorial video. Sunsets always make me think of her on the other side....

Kate bush has taken me through the best and worst possible places in my life! And I eventually got to see her at the before the dawn show! I came from Lancashire on my own and was four rows from the front! I also went into the church opposite the Apollo with other fans for a meal prior to the show! She was amazing! Kate bush music is not throw away music and she demands a little more than that! Each album has to grow on you like a pair of shoes xx like a pair of red shoes xx

Jamie Grieve I remember getting the Red Shoes album and reading through the lyrics gave me the same feeling as reading a letter from a friend. It was really weird as I'm not someone who "feels a connection" with their favourite artistes like that. But it really felt like getting news from a friend.

in the 1980s i painted sets at nashville network while listening to kate bush on my walkman.
it felt 100% wrong to then see the statler bros (or other country act) perform in front of one those sets.

Well some styles have a specific aesthetic that the creators have chosen as a symbolic creative decision.

I like Kate Bush really well, & I am fond of some postmodernism certainly.

But I ( for instance ) also really like Lucinda Williams as a performer who writes & performers in a very un-postmodern genre, known by some as alt.country

It's just a matter of personal preference I suppose.

It's an absolute shame that circumstances should render this whole album obsolete and deleted. Kate must be devastated! It is such a good album. 

The broadcaster most likely to play any songs from this album is the BBC, and the BBC will never show or play anything which remotely references Rolf Harris.

As I said, this is such a good album, and I will still listen to it - but going forward I should think generally people will refrain from playing or buying it.

And that is a shame.

Rolf Harris is on this album for less than a minute..... the album is over an hour long! Most people hearing a one off track on the radio would not even know that Rolf Harris was on the album and on top of that, Kate fans who did know, would not judge Kate's beautiful work for this so I really don't see your point... 

Furthermore, you can easily just delete the Rolf Harris tracks and it still flows beautifully!! 

@Tori Faerie No it doesn't! Even Kate herself said that her albums are arranged in context and that the singles she releases are simply the highlights of something much more complete. You cannot just delete a few tracks and still claim that the album is complete.

Also, I never said I wouldn't listen to it again. I just said it's a shame that fewer people will buy it and that the tracks on this album will no longer be broadcast to a wider audience.

@Edward Smith Having seen this performed live, you know what..i love it even more now.

@Tori Faerie He actually had much more of an influence than that on 'The Dreaming'. The title track itself was inspired by Harris's own 'Sun Arise' .Such a shame that one of my favourite albums ever doesn't hold the same joy that it did previously .His spoken voice contribution on 'Aerial' is even more damaging to that album. At least he was brought to justice before Kate's recent gigs otherwise he probably would have been appearing on stage with her .

Bet she's gutted now she had Rolf Harris on this song!

He posted it in a youtube video ( kkGeOWYOFoA ). I agree with the disclaimers and sincerely enjoyed your videos thinking it was only the song which was fair use. But honestly when I saw this suddenly from Vila's "Nature by Numbers" video, I thought it would be best to comment that he is credited with that incredible sunflower/tessellation/dragonfly sequence.
