My best buddy in the Army bought this Sun Secrets in 75 and we wore it out. Over the decades I've had it on eight track, cassette and CD. The entire album doesn't have a bad song on it! Exceptional lyrics, vocals, guitar, bass and drums that never got it's due, head and shoulders above many other pieces of work at the time and since.

Bought (or borrowed) this album (that's right-vinyl) new (more or less...and less or more) and played it upside down and sideways until the grooves were worn down into dust of my mind. But the wind....it keeps on blowing.....!

I first heard this song in the fall of 1974 broadcasted by Radio Free Europe's Romanian Department during Cornel Chiriac's daily musical show called "Metronom". I was a fifteen years old living in a communist dictatorship and the song was my psychological "flag". It was and it remains awesome! Thank you for the post.

aalon butler a black guitarist to rival funkadelic's eddie hazel. check out eric burdon band live at the roxy 1976 to see how great this band was liove. they also performed 4 songs on don kirshner's rock concert. smokin' hot. aalon also has a cd called cream city which sounds like curtis mayfield crossed with hendrix.

Excellent bluesy rock n roll!!!! Eric Burden was truly an amazing singer he could sing different styles & still sound good!

I seen these guys in concert in 07-04-76 with then R.V.Z. and Lynard Skynard and ZZ Top, The E.B.B. stole the whole show that day. (Marshall Tucker Band didnt show up)

love that song Burdon out does himself the guitar i think was souring bass drum groove holds it all down. then the words that you can feel the pain thru. this is my favorite Eric Burdon album. he must have wanted to shake out having to play house of ill repute for years

Yessssssssssssssssssssss..... excellent post..... finally.... my cousin turned me onto this album a long time ago.... once I heard this bluesy tune I was hooked.... I have been an Eric Burdon fan from way back... one of the best blues rock singers in my opinion... I was waitinf for somebody to post this song again... it was up a while back but it was taken down... or removed... but it's back... Peace!
