Buggles, The - I Love You (Miss Robot) Lyrics
I love you, Miss Robot
Programmed just to please
I love you, Miss Robot
Electronic tease
Don't drive too fast when you take me home
Touch the seam on your silver skin
I feel so hard when you take me in
I love you, Miss Robot
Programmed just to please
I love you, Miss Robot
Electronic tease
We talk of love on the telephone
Force the coin and you're there again
D.I. the loneliness brain to brain
I love you, Miss Robot
Programmed just to please
I love you, Miss Robot
Electronic tease
I must leave, Miss Robot
Give your love to me
I love you, Miss Robot
Do you love me?
I love you, Miss Robot
Electronic tease
I love you, Miss Robot
Programmed just to please
I must leave, Miss Robot
Give yourself to me
I love you, Miss Robot
Do you love me?

The best song by The Buggles
This album is fantastic, but I think their next one "Adventures In Modern Recording" could be even better, especially with tracks like "Vermilion Sands".
Great song
Con un sonido futurista para aquellos años...
ademas se volvió un tema entrañable....
Like this much better than their big hit.
“You could be everything I want in a woman; Me! GIG-A-DEITY!!! ” Quagmire – Family Guy

I love this album, good memories from another times
How many memories...
"MISS ROBOT, WHY ARE YOU CHEWING THE POWER CORDS?!"
Mrs. Anger Management Problems-2016
In an odd coincidence, I was a huge Yes fan at the time and bought their latest "Drama" album. The record store was playing this tune, so I bought this Buggles album as well, not at all knowing that Goeff and Trevor were part of the Drama album. Some time later, while at a bar, I watched the TV and they were playing "Video killed" and I couldn't believe it. I asked my friend what that was and he said "I think it's this new TV video channel."
the entire album is amazing...another time...great talent
I have the original vinyl album....... I LOVE U MISS ROBOT was the reason I bought it...... LOVE IT..... <3
me too.anyone who had a heart.beautiful.
The Buggles should have recruited Barry White to sing this song. ;-)
It is about relationships .......strangely . Great song, their best.
@Bebe Rebozo I agree its their best :)
I wish I would have bought this album in 1980 I bought it overseas in 1984 and finally got it on cd around year 2000.
2:52 sounds like 1960s cult film music updated for the 1980s. This still sounds good more than 35 years after its release.

Great song... great remembering
"D.I. the loneliness brain to brain." - That line gives me goosebumps....wow.
@George Reid coooooooool!
My favotite song of the album !
A Dark Taxi Baobab Retreat.
had they chosen a better name to the band they would eat a big slice oft the cake of eletropop! this is what the band AIR did 20 years later, let's be honest!
Better name and better image. The music is great.
It's been sooooo long since I've heard this - thank you!!!
Love at first listen on my local AM KAWC 1320 public radio station :)
I looooove youuuuuu miss roboooooooot :D
hilarious, man.
...how I love this song...
Feb 4th 1980
feb 4th 1980
Was that when it was released?
A Dark Taxi Baobab Retreat.
Um. Is it just me or are the lyrics are basically about having sex with a robot?
No doubt about it, it's a sex song. But it could be about having sex with anyone. It can't necessarily be a robot. We just have to ask Trevor what he was thinking about when he and the keyboardist wrote this song.
Love te buggles!!!
COOL Song :)
like basso,piano,voice,coral,sint elettronic,......nice sound!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very Funny
I loved this when I heard it in the 8o,s on the local radio station, but never knew its name or the artist.I just guessed, and found it{fantastick!] It was a little noughty as well!
Thank you kahkeshansard for all this musics of The Buggles!!! I'm with tears in my eyes... I was born in 1972, but I've a Big Brother, 12 years older than me and had this Album... I growing up listening to this!!!
Best regards from PORTUGAL.
Direct input?
Direct Interface perhaps?
@ombarrera1 YES Miss Robot I'm sure you do!
Great album !
@krsongs I have the original record, and on the inside sleeve there is a reproduction of a studio template card telling what instrument is on each one of the 24 tracks, for every song.
On this song the keyboards listed are: Acoustic piano, Rhodes, Prophet Carpet, Vocoder key, Prophet. There is also a track with "strings", either they were real or synthesized.
Keyboards used in other songs: "2nd symph. Moog", "Bass Moog", "mighty wurlitzer", "Poly" (as written on the cards)
I never even heard of the Buggles untill a few weeks ago. Now- I Love Them! They don't make music like they used to.
very sexy song....
very beautiful melodic electropop, masterpiece
one of the most underrated bass players ( and bands) of the the 80s.
david bee correction late 70s early 80s
@kahkeshansard The song was relased in 1979, but 'The Age of Plastic' came out a year later in 1980.
This is from the album: "The Age of Plastic 1979"
@hamster700

@StriderIsAragorn I'd dare to say that buggles are the darkest science fiction ever made.
@lifereguard
Trevor Horn was a recording genius.
- Will I dream?
- I don´t know Miss Robot!
@kahkeshansard It's funny to read this about the Buggles. Years ago I read that Richard Carpenter was insistent that every album and single released by his and Karen's group said only "Carpenters" never including "the" in the title or credits.
@StriderIsAragorn all their lyrics are utterly dark, i've always tought that they would sound fantastic for a sciencie fiction film soundtracl
Amazing track. I really love it!
The Fairlight was released in 1979, but a few artists were using the Fairlight II by 1980.
Atmospherically, the Buggles are similar to the first two Thomas Dolby albums. There's a wistful sadness present in this song that you can also find in Dolby songs like "Airwaves", "Flying North", "the Flat Earth" and others.
had to have been a Synclavier, CMI Fairlight's weren't out til 83
I've always despised "Video Kills the Radio Star" but so far every other song I've heard from them has been amazing.
No my friend, I'm not to "prove" anything even myself. When you search their name with the letter "The", you can find more than one million result. Their name on Amazon and Last FM's website is written with "The". If you search Google's picture for "Buggle", you'll find one of their album with "The" too. I don't know and don't care which one is correct, also they have not any official site. So, there is only Wikipedia that can be trusted.
The remake by presidents of the united states of america sucks.....in my opinion.
everytime nice to hear! one of my best cd`s
Thank you for your attention. I made a search and found that there is a "The". I added the link of Wikipedia to the summary at the right side of this page. You can have a look on their page.
I think one of the main ways Buggles and Trevor Horn were ahead of their time was the way the bass sounds on tracks like this. It came to the fore with Relax and Two Tribes by Frankie Goes To Hollywood.
I'm sorry, but I have not that. You can find it on Youtube.
Yes, I know what you say. I love them too. They brought me lot of joy and happiness.
I had the LP at that time. Except for 'Video killed''Plasic Age'and'Astroboy' I have forgotten every song. Now they came back again. Belonged to the best music then!
hello , just wishing to be of help but in your search for this groups album the online store amazon could be of help to you , should you still wish to get hold this groups first album ,well all the best .
What do you mean hun? Doesn't MTV have new wave blocks of 80's music anymore? I believe VH1 Classics does. Let me know..prevent me from boycotting MTV who started out with Buggles "Video killed the Radio Star"... I'll be very PISSED>>>>!!!!
I agree with you hun..I bought it on vinyl AND cd and I have their second album on vinyl. It's SLAMMING!!!! Congrats to you...
I love this song!
I orderd the CD from a internet shop.
Must be more out there!?
Yes it´s a great CD, brings back many memories......
:)
i have this album on vinyl, bought in for over 20 years ago, im happy :-D
SAME, and I always started singing it whilst playing
"when MTV went on the air in 1981, the prophetically-titled record's video was the first ever broadcast on the fledgling cable network."
True, but hardly prophetic. Commercial radio's still around, and taking it to a whole new level courtesy of satellite radio. Meanwhile, MTV will do just about anything to AVOID playing music.
7 years without listening to this song, and now I´m happy, this album is impossible to find in my country
opps 35 in may!
i always liked his bass playing..trevor horn indirectly made me become a bass player very early on..i was only 8 when i heard elstree and platic age..then i got a little older got into duran duran and another great propducer named nile rodgers, so im 25 in may and still playing bass thats my little story
listen to the bass on this!
i first listened to video killed on gta vice city.
The Best Sound !!!
Love it.You don't know all stuff i did back then
Wow! I stumbled upon 'Video killed..' and found it was a much better song than I ever remembered. This song is even better. I think I need to find their CD!
I love this song, this muscicians, what they did with "Yes" aswell
