Buddy Guy - This Is The End Lyrics
Oh that's what I'm hearin', darlin'
I got a feelin' that it won't be long
Oh yes this is it, baby
I gotta feelin' an' it won't be long
Oh things goin' from bad to worse, baby
We used to live together as one, babe
Until you started runnin' 'round
Oh, we used to live together as one, darlin'
Until you started runnin' 'round
Oh you know, you got too many irons in the fireplace
I'm gonna leave an' put you down
Now when ya start to gettin' lonesome woman
I want you to fall on your knees and say a prayer, too
Oh yes, when you start to get a little lonesome baby
Oh 'cause I'm gonna find me someone else
Give all this lovin' I had for you
Mercy!
Come here baby!
I never dreamed I'd see the day, baby
I don't believe it would go this way
Oh, I never dreamed I'd see the day, baby
I didn't believe it would go this way
Oh, the only thing I can say, baby
I hate your love have to end this way

Buddy Guy This Is The End Comments
Is it just me or does the main riff of this song sound a lot like "Walking After Midnight" by Patsy Cline? I googled, and didn't come across any issue of copyright infringement. But it sure sounds similar progression.
The treasures of the 50s'..... Great! Shared January 6, 2019
Reminds me of "I Can't Quit You Baby"
Just think this guy influenced Jimi Hendrix,Eric Clapton,Jeff Beck and others as well.
I think if I were a closer in baseball, this would be the song that would play when I came out off the bullpen and walked across the outfield.
I fucking love this song.

Buddy Guy's first single-I believe. Always one of my favorites. Amazing intensity. Just disccovered a song called "After Hours Blues", by Hal Paige & the Wailers, that is extremely similar. Possible that somebody plagarized the other. (Or just a case of similarities in the Blues genre.)
