Did Shelley ever perform this live, if so I wonder what the audience reaction was. I know she did Thief In The Night. She was very nice but not as strong vocally as Jay. One of the girls in Mike and David Van Day’s quite frankly not very good line up recorded a dire version of it on an album of inferior re-recorded Bucks Fizz singles, singing like she was cowering in fear, pathetic and an insult to Jay’s amazing talent.

Cheryl said in Look In that she had a streaming cold during the making of this vid, and her nose was so red that the make up lady had to keep dashing on between takes to cover her nose with powder. Wonder if that’s why they went with the misty effect for the chorus!

Why on earth have Sony not had this remastered to a new audio track..The sound quality on this video is appalling. Its a great track, but I am going back to my 12" picture Disc version..its sounds 100% better.

The way Jay sings this is quite astonishing. So much raw emotion. Love the chorus.. Bucks Fizz proved time and time again they were far more interesting, daring and edgy than they were ever given credit for. .

I'll say this too - Bucks Fizz were a VERY sexy band.

I love her similar dramatic vocal on tracks like Thief In The Night and Invisible too. Maybe tricky to reproduce live though.
