Bucks Fizz - Rules Of The Game Lyrics

Love is the ballet where the dancer falls
Love is the game where the loser calls
Always make sure that you know the rules of the game
Love is the ballet where the dancer falls
Love is the game where the loser calls
Always make sure that you know the rules of the game

Love was your hero
Why did you let it go?
Face of the week
It was TV Times
You've got your life
And I've got mine, so you say

Fame goes to your head
Pictures above every boy's bed
You don't answer the 'phone anymore
In case it's the public
Oh, what a bore they can be!

Love is the ballet where the dancer falls
Love is the game where the loser calls
Always make sure that you know the rules of the game
The rules of the game
The rules of the game
The rules of the game

Success, it was short-lived
You begged me to forgive
The way you had acted
The way that you were
A desperate attempt to regain the love that was there

Love is the ballet where the dancer falls
Love is the game where the loser calls
Always make sure that you know the rules of the game
The rules of the game
The rules of the game
The rules of the game

When you were offered a second chance
You ran to their arms without a glance at me

Love is the ballet where the dancer falls
Love is the game where the loser calls
Always make sure that you know the rules of the game
The rules of the game
The rules of the game
The rules of the game

  3. A.... J....

Bobby's wearing the same outfit he wore on the Christmas 1983 Top of the Pops, which would have been about a month after this video was filmed.

  4. W.... R....

Seems to be consensus that Cheryl is the best bucks fizz, the most bang for your bucks?

  5. 7.... ....

Best you have ever done Cheryl, beautiful woman.

  6. K.... T....

A time zone classic hit on the album BUCKS FIZZ Greatest hits.

  7. c.... ....

I’m so pissed off this was not included on the 2007 “Best of” DVD!

  8. b.... ....

Good to see Cheryl getting lead vocals :)

  9. t.... ....

I agree Cheryl very Hazel O'Connor here .. her style here was similar to that in the recent "Amen" .. A great song and a real pity it didn't go up the charts

  10. C.... H....

This is one of my favourites

  11. C.... H....

Love this tune so typifies the early 80's. Wasnt a hit at all in UK and yet bloody good tune

  12. J.... P....

Always interesting to hear and view the less successful songs of established artists. This is great and deserved to be a bigger hit. I DO like the way Cheryl sings this, it's almost a bit punk-ish. Jay as ever is working it and looks fab. I wonder why at this stage in their career they were losing their chart success when they were continuing to evolve as a band. I Hear Talk is another great song that deserved better.

  13. C.... A....

    Great Jam....Great Memories...When a man was a boy.....

    C.... A....

    You're still a boy, Boy

  14. A.... F....

This was the greatest hits album from 1983 trying to go for a more mature sound.

  15. G.... S....

This song came out in 1982 and is from the Are You Ready album

    D.... D....

It actually came out in late 1983 and was featured on the album"Greatest Hits" ;)

  23. j.... s....

The best one they ever did - sounds even better on vinyl!

  24. F.... H....

If this had been released today, it would make the Top 10

  25. R.... E....

    so  in my vein....

  26. S.... S....

Love is the ballet where the dancer falls, love is the game where the loser calls ;)

  27. V.... V....

This was a great track, not known as one of their big hit, but a great song. Cheryl on lead, very Hazel O Connor in breaking glass! not like how we are used to seeing her and a big dollop of toyah about her.

    V.... V....

    exactly what I was thinking

    V.... V....

Yep so agree.. I actually bought this from Woolworths as i did regularly with my pocket money.

  28. S.... ....

    Bizarre video!

  29. Z.... ....

Bet Bobby nearly had an accident in his white trousers, when the kickboxer landed so close to him!

  30. T.... L....

    It is '83

Loved this tune, used to go in to the local pub and put 50p in the video juke box and watch it every time I went in, miss those days immensely and the music.
