Buckley, Tim - No Man Can Find The War Lyrics
Photographs of guns and flame
Scarlet skull and distant game
Bayonet and jungle grin
Nightmares dreamed by bleeding men
Lookouts tremble on the shore
Tape recorders echo scream
Orders fly like bullet stream
Drums and cannons laugh aloud
Whistles come from ashen shroud
Leaders damn the world and roar
But no man can find the war
Is the war across the sea?
Is the war behind the sky?
Is the war inside your mind?
Humans weep at human death
All the talkers lose their breath
Movies paint a chaos tale
Singers see and poets wail
All the world knows the score
But no man can find the war

Buckley, Tim No Man Can Find The War Comments
i learned most of his songs from some friends before i ever got to hear his album. i still love this one. touched me in many ways,
One of the few "no skipping tracks" albums in my collection.
Tim Buckley, one of the most amazing people in the world when I was a child, teenager - he lived February 14, 1947 – to June 29, 1975, so he died aged 28, as so many of the amazing music people died ages 27, and 28 - why? how? I always thought was the evil stupid companies in charge of the countries killing them!! Or did the aliens, so liking them, took them up to their skies ... this music was in 1967
why did he die. I was born in 48 and served and fought for years. I was no musician but still alive.
@j H overdose
a tragic overdose.. this is sad
a lot of young musicians died in that time: Brian Jones, Alan Wilson, JImi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Pamela Courson [Morrison's girlfriend], Ron Pigpen.. all these people died at age 27 between 1969-1975
Loved this guy..
