Yeah, those were great days. Has 37 - 38 years really gone by that quickly, that's really hard to believe! I would do anything just to get back 15 of those years, lol. The greatest music and memories of the mid and late 70's.
When I hear one of the Oldies I cannot believe 60 is on my horizon. When I think of ballads I also recall the passions of Johnny Mathis, Sam Cooke, Al Green, Barry White, Otis Redding, Teddy Pendergrass, Luther Vandross, The Miracles, the list goes on and on. Its like pulling a thread, for every one I type, another pops into mind.

For all that women do right, i.e. my momma, my grandmomma, my sister, my daughter, and of course the ex-wives (who were not always wrong sometimes it was us). There must be more music like this strong praise of the other part of a man, a woman. Upon hearing this many, many years ago this song resonated within my spirit and I can't understand for the life of me why there is no praise of women in contemporary music. Peabo's song ranks with the very best song in praise of what a true man cannot live without...woman!!!
