I saw Peabo in Detroit, he broke them songs down before he sang. He talked about new love, lost love, God love, how a man is supposed to love, philosophically, mentally, spiritually, and physically. Oh, he broke them down so that there was no misunderstanding. He and the band were dressed to the nine and played them instruments. To this day one of the best concerts I have ever seen and heard, truly a great artist in our time. Old school professionalism real instruments, singing, and showmanship without gimmicks. Peabo captivated the audience the whole time from beginning to the end, ladies crying and men wanting to do better at love, at least I can speak for myself.

Peabo Bryson's Crosswinds song is a classic. Crosswinds album I didn't like. I like the album pictures. I don't like Peabo's white suit and white pants LOL. I love Peabo Bryson. Peabo should've did songs with Marvin Gaye, Teddy Pendergrass, Luther Vandross, Ronald Isley.

People hear Peabo and think of Disney and Celine Dion. P was the man back then...Him, jeffrey Osbourne, Rocky Robbins so many names back then.

Very good question. One day the Trap music crowd will out live the drugs, drinking, clubbing, have kids, make mortgage payments, car payments, vote, and finally realize life goes on. Especially when you see your teenage daughter walking out the house half undressed, your son coming home at 5am, and you and wifey arguing more often instead of sex. Yes the realities of life will happen.

55 yrs old... I remember listening to Peabo, Spyro Gyra, LTD, and Angela Bofill on WLYD while living on campus (Bienville Hall) at the University of New Orleans in 1981... This song just that's takes me back to nights when I was chilling out in my dorm room during those great times...  I know you can't re-live them again, but at least you can in someway reflect on those same moments by listening to these great artist and others of this period...

This reminds me of growing up on the East Coast and seeing my cousin sit on the front stoop blowing his “green.” He used to play this album on the record player in the living room while the speakers 🔊 played the music in the front windows. If it was a hot day, we were playing in the fire hydrant (“Johnny Pump” in NYC and “Water Plug” in Philly.). Nobody “got shot” or worried about drive by shootings. Freebase changed all of that. 😒 Like you said, you can’t re-live that. However, you can remember by keeping REAL music alive and not the shit that they call music today.

10 yrs later(1991) I too sat in my dorm room in Bienville Hall looking out at Lake Ponchartrain listening to WYLD. It was the melodramatic “ Can you stop the rain” that I and my roommates would belt out over our hairbrush microphone😂😂. Yes, the good ole days! I believe we all wish that we could turn back time, if only for a moment.

The Concord Jazz Fest 1984 in Ca.  I was little but I remember everyone had their lighters and a certain "smoke trail"  in the air to this one.  I knew at a very young age that I was in the the presence of a Legend behind the Mic.
