From a tiny tike, I grew up living and loving Rock N' Roll... Today at 57 years old I'm still in shock how hateful and mostly untalented rap took over the minds of kids. Our music stood for something meaningful and real... We were the rebels willing to stand up for the underdog... We marched in the civil rights movement, only to find ourselves hated by the very people we fought the police and establishment to free. I was never a racist until I started reading the lyrics in rap... These people's grandmothers and grandfathers are all rolling over in their graves at what became of their fight for freedom. It's so politically incorrect to say anything, but we all know it's so true too.

Sad but true. And my once very safe town is being swallowed up by welfare recipients, who've brought drugs, poverty, anger, resentment into this place, and most show animosity toward us. We now have the vandalism, litter, broken glass everywhere, and unsupervised kids, shouting those rap lyrics and acting a fool, and the question is Why? I blame it on liberalism and the "soft racism" of allowing these people to not need to be responsible, to not get decent schooling and jobs; and when their lives feel a failure, they lash out against the ones who tried to help them.
