Bruce should be receiving the Ronnie James Dio lifetime achievement award instead of Axl Rose. Bruce blows 9 out of 10 vocalists out of the water, no matter the genre of music. The only vocalists that are equal to the mighty Bruce is Lzzy Hale of Halestorm, Rob Halford of Judas Priest, James Hetfield of Metallica, David Draiman of Disturbed and of course Ronnie James Dio himself. Obviously when he was alive.

This song was supposed to be in the "Three Tremors/Trinity" project that consisted of Dickinson, Halford and Dio. Later they thought they'd replace Dio with Tate (in the 2000s? wtf guys? Tate had lost his range back then) and the whole idea was scrapped due to time constraints.

That’d would’ve been awesome. I think the trinity project was handed over to geoff and they got Blaze Bayley and Tim Ripper Owens instead of Bruce and Rob, honestly thought it turned out great in the end, but a shame that we never saw these legends together as intended initially.

Bruce addresses this in his book. He wrote this song for Halford/Dio and himself as part of that 3 Tenors of Metal project. he wanted Dio, but Smallwood and Ronnie's wife (also his manager) didn't get along, so Smallwood pushed for Tate instead. Bruce relented, and Tate ended up being disagreeable to everything, so nothing got done and the project went nowhere.

From Bruce's description of his vision, the project would have allowed the three of them to do some crazy things with melodies, harmonies and ranges that they couldn't have done solo.
