Yea, I have been a brand new fan for as far as i can remember. I think 02 or 03 if i remember right. To me, the bands grows as i grow. I am now a few months from 30, and I am anxiously waiting their new album and I hope the rumors are fucking wrong. If this is Brand News last album, idk what i will do. I have never meet them, but i saw them live once. In Maine at a college, brand new and dashboard confessional. It was a rocking show. Their music has ALWAYS been there for me, and i wish that someday i can be there for someone as much as Brand news music has been there for me.

Who is this guy everyone is talking about who went missing/found dead after posting this song? And to those who were close to him I offer my deepest condolences.

He was a dear friend, and i sincerely wish i had been there for him. He was a good person, but he sadly couldnt find a place where he felt he belonged.

Take good care of those you love, especially those you know are risk. I always knew he could, but i never thought he would. The prisons you create in your own mind can be even more painful than reality.

@Maddy Luax The best reason I have heard is that Jesse doesn't want to be in a band once he's 40 and he will turn 40 in 2018. Mind you, I learnt this from crazy fan speculation on Reddit.

 He's apparently said he doesn't want to be in a band at 40 during live shows, and he changes some of  the lyrics Soco Amaretto Lime to "I'm just jealous because you're young and in love", IMO this backs it up.

There was one interview I found during the TDAGARIM era that contradicted a few other things Jesse had to say about religion. I always thought he was someone who obviously struggled with the existence of God growing up. But my guess is he doesn't believe anymore, according to the lyrics in their new song "Sealed to me"

Its a year later but why not...
Each CD shows his evolution as a person, one of the primary ways being his view on religion. In the beginning he "believed" he thought, but somewhat selfishly and blindly. The existence of doubt/skepticism was present by Deja. Next he Almost faced the doubt but did so in a very indirect way, what part of him did still believe felt that he may have condemned himself to hell because of his doubt and unrelated actions( song Jesus). You see him really fighting with himself about the whole thing in Devil and God are raging inside me. After that you get the impression that Jesse feels very skeptical about it all and in any chance it is real the devil won the battle and he accepts that hes going to hell more than once in daisy. On top of that he becomes disenchanted with , girls he'd been with, and humanity in general to the point that he(and vin) state humanity is just as bad as it was when God flooded the world in the bible, and that he should do it again. It's also calling out god in a way, like saying "you know even better than I do that we havent learned so if youre real then youd flood it again. "
Finallly, with Mene he seems to have gone through the stages of loss and isnt angry or pleading anymore. He is able to reflect and see that he believed only for his own good(so never truly believed) and can admit it. He doesnt neccesarily disbelieve now but decided to let go of the fear of hell(gods eternal wrath) so he can live in the present peacefully and on his own terms
