Bone Thugs-N-Harmony - Neighborhood Slang Lyrics
[Krayzie:]
I87 is a lesson for them niggaz
that want to test
bring more than cause me shotgun
wanna be Mothug thugsta menatatlity
runs through the BONE
pop pop to the dome
fall short to the crome
get wraped that bitches on
much love for the green leaves
but me trues have to ease me down
puff puff head rush
popin in me clip and I got plenty rounds
me n pretenda
BONE'll get wit cha
straight #1 lil' rispsta
swing watch him hit cha
so we can swang (we can swang)
down for my thang (down for my thang)
finna blow to tha brain
though you could hang
when I swang them things
thats insane
stay low (so low)
dem popo know me no surrender
dem niggaz on tha street they remember as beeing no pretenda
standin up on tha block
9 mm cocked
and me hang, and me gott my niggaz lookin out for me back
and them watch for them rocks
and you know its nuthin but the neighboorhood thang
its manditory for me neighboorhood slang

Bone didn't have to even try on this one! I love when they just let it flow on stuff like this. This is like going to an opera with Bone putting a hip hop twist along with their brand of harmony on it.

Hardest interlude in hip hop history
..
"most certainly"
Ohh GOD!!! I thought I was the only one thought that..
Hardest verse period💯
Everytime i hear this song i gotta repeat it like 30 times
so true
More than likely Krazie produced this song. He went in on the piano. The drum roll towards the end song made it sounds like you're in a Mortal Kombat killing game. lol The wind blowing in the background makes it sound like it's a cold winter night and a shootout is really about to happen!! LOL. Krazie was always a beast at painting a picture.
DJ Uneek produced it
Nah Man Krayzie Bone came up with it off the dome. I think it's Sin from The Graveyard Shift talks about it in an interview. It's on YouTube. I tried looking for it, but couldn't find it again. He says Krayzie was sitting there one day and told him listen to this and he just started rapping Neighbourhood Slang acapella.
In your comment you said that the drum roll made you think of Mortal Kombat, tbh every time i hear this music, i can't help but think about Scorpion and Noob Saibot, the Original Sub Zero
"One Eighty Seven is a Lesson!!!..." Grew up to this being my alltime favorite track over half my life and inspired me to learn piano along with 'Days of Our Lives'. I used to write the lyrics down before the internet was even close to knowing this historic greatness. Told ya'll he a bloody murder poet.
Pure artist krayzie and. producer
still in 2017!
your ears notice realness and won't lie to you
spookdude devito yep you r right
who ever was on piano was going ham lmao
DJ U-neek is a boss in the world of music, but when u throw Krayzie Bone on his tracks, it's what I'd imagine seeing Angels & Gods would kinda feel like. They sumum epic on da track together.
jerry williams on my soul you ain't lying.
piano has such a bad rep but it can be used in so many ways its pretty amazing really. some of my favorite hard rock and edm songs feature piano if you actually listen
look up Krayzie Bone, Walkin in Da Rain
SICK piano on that
Had to come back for them keys song still 🔥 that's how u know it's good if you change one note or one word it'll be horrible masterpiece nobody try remixing this ever
CATFISHMOUTH!
Bone is what I grew up on, some of the most talented lyricist in the game during the 90's. I'm sure this album dropped in 97'. It was there follow up album after eternal E.1999. This is when the Bone and Three Six Mafia beef started. 3-6 had said Bone bit there whole style which I can see the similarities between Bizzy from Bone and Lord Infamous from 3-6 Mafia, also Koopsta Knicca from 3-6 and Bizzy sound alike. I will say Bone kinda bit there style on using the chopped and screwed demon voice hooks in their music and also just using that dark and evil sound. Lyrically Bone blew 3-6 out the water, but production and beats 3-6 was way more superior in my opinion. 3-6 also had longevity in their careers tho they stayed around way longer and achieved way more then Bone in the rap game. But Krayzie Bone is on my top 5 favorite rappers of all time but group wise ima have to go with 3-6 Mafia and the whole Hypnotize Minds Records then Bone Thugs and the whole Mo' Thugs records movement.
I have to disagree with Bone taking the dark voice thing. Because Eazy used it first on his Dre 187 it's own album. Check it out .Eazy E- Still a N@$#!
William Burton Hold up man go and find it yourself on Art of War - its called 'All Original'. In Krayzie's own response to this claim I'm talking about he tells it to set the record straight "Niggas running around talking about we stole ya style...Nigga we ain't ever been to yo town! "It's Alll original, and it's coming from the Cleveland Criminals. So here we go." Both groups just did a similiar chopped hook idea for a time bc thats where they believed their sound would go in order to be different for a bit on its own terms to make an identity. It's an era where rap had a potential to evolve in several directions that's why they BOTH claimed it first and experimented with it and can swear that it was uninfluenced by the other.
They were referring to Do or Die and Crucial Conflict on that particular song. Do or Die responded with Bustin' Back.
I may be wrong but I remember thoroughly the beef being with Twista. Mayhaps there was more to the story I might have missed

Hip hop ain't dead. There's a lot of bullshit on the radios and in the big HMV type shops... But you keep a close ear to the ground, there are still new cats doin their thing and keepin it raw.
You go to the amazon jungle and spend five months in there and you prolly won't see a jaguar: doesn't mean they extinct...
they have made noise! i gues you kept your eyes on the commercial muzik!
Well if it ain't dead like you say then it for sure az hell iz in a coma cause most of the onez you've listed haven't been makin' a whole lot of noise this decade.
hiphop aint dead yet! mos def, krs one, nas, rakim and them mc's is still alive!
dont make em like that anymore
Hip hop died way before 2010. More like 2002. and that iz true1
Love this!!!
