Blur - Caramel Lyrics
I've gotta get over
I've gotta get over
I've got to get better
Will love you forever
I've gotta find genius
I've gotta stop smoking
I've gotta get better
Caramel Caramel...
Where is the magic?
I've gotta get better
Oh lord give me magic
I'll love you forever
I've gotta find mounts hill
I'll love you forever
You are...And you are...

This is why Damon is a genius
I just went on a gorillaz and blur spree, you hear 1 song and just can’t stop
one of the best songs ever written
its weird how badly i can relate to this song. ik its about drugs but to me its about love. im going through a break up atm. he and i went separate ways because both of us were in a bad place mentally. i love him so. ive got to get better
found peace in despair
heard this song while high on acid back in the 90´s, been emotionally attached to this masterpiece ever since
This isn't a song, it's an adventure!
I still remember when I heard this one on their concert. Awesome experience. It's really a masterpiece.
This has to be one of my favourite songs ever
This song sounds like the musical manifestation of your soul being burnt out from pain.
Que emocion dulce y a la vez retorcida
All-time classic. If you ever find yourself in the need of some transcendental musical genius, well, aye. Cheers, then.
Epic track.. 🖤
If I ever kill myself, I will set this song playing as I do the deed.
good idea
fitting
"I've got to get better" you're never giving yourself the chance if you top yourself
There is such a heavy feeling of turmoil, insanity, pain and sadness in this song. Holy shit. Like the song is definitely what it feels like to have a meltdown while feeling like you're gripping to your sanity with buttery fingers.
Great description. To me, it's a sonic depiction of not just your heart but your soul being broken.
I actually listened to this song when I was in a mental hospital and this is exactly how I felt.. crazy
England did smell like england
There are no words for the beauty of a song. Thank you, Blur, for this gem!
Amazing stuff
Damon Albarn has one of the most beautiful (if slightly weird, but that makes it better) falsetto voices I've ever heard.
I've gotta get over
I've gotta get over
I've got to get better
Love you foreverI've gotta find genius (caramel)
I've gotta get better (caramel)
I've gotta stop smoking (caramel)
I've gotta get better (caramel)Where is the magic?
I've gotta get better
Oh, lord give me magic
I'll love you foreverI've gotta find mounts hill (caramel)
And live by the mountains (caramel)
I'll love you forever (caramel)
You are, you are (caramel)
Weird to think this is the same band who made "Parklife" kinda reminds me of Radiohead who transitioned from mainstream rock to depressing avant garde music
What would you think has caused these “transformations”? 🤔
@Markus Juva life? drugs? lost love? idk man
Markus Juva a change in style is common with musicians because they get bored with the old style. They want to feel that spark again. So they experiment.
in what way is radiohead avant-garde
아앙 넘조앙
Dead Mau vibes
Get the fuck outta here with that shit.
Right up there in their stuff - one of the best they ever did
6:34 and on is amazing.
Entire song is amazing
This album put blur back on their original path which was interrupted by Britpop after Leisure! "Sing" off leisure would not have been out of place on this just listen to the similarities between "Sing" & "1992"!! "13" & "Think Tank" are their best imho!
"1992" has this name for a reason.
1992 was made during the modern life is rubbish era
Miss America and He Thought of Cars are other examples.
This Is a Low also sounds more post-britpop to me, but more like the S/T album.
Britpop is cool :(
perfect 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I love that most songs on this album include hidden tracks or demos at the end. Caramel does it the best in my opinion since there are 3 different songs here and they're all totally different. It's like taking a real bad drug trip, nothing lasts long and your imagination takes you somewhere else. it's dreamlike but turned nightmare, especially considering so much of 13 is based off the cataclysmic breakup with Damon and Justine. She's the one who introduced heroin to him in the first place and it couldn't be more thematically appropriate than here.
i am really really really emotionally attached to this song
Memories eh?
This could easily be about Kissing and or sex
it's about heroin
I love the subtle touch that the keyboard in the end has a more... depressing? feel to it than at the beginning.
It appears Damon has found what he's been searching for in this song. He has definitely found genius with Gorillaz, and all the other musical collabs he's been on.
Ive got to get better
I like the ending better than the main song lol
it's tracks like this that make Blur one of my favorite bands ever
Tengo que superarlo
Quiero amarte para siempre
Tengo que mejorar
Tengo que dejar de fumar
Tengo que mejorar
Caramelo caramelo
Donde esta la magia?
Tengo que mejorar
Oh señor da me magia
Te amaré para siempre
Tengo que encontrar colinas
Y vivir en las montañas
Te amaré por siempre
Tu eres... Y tu eres
Español nah
I've gotta get over
I've gotta get over
I've got to get better
Will love you forever
I've gotta find genius
I've gotta get better
I've gotta stop smoking
I've gotta get better
Caramel Caramel...
Where is the magic?
I've gotta get better
Oh lord give me magic
I'll love you forever
I've gotta find mounts hill
And live by the mountains
I'll love you forever
You are...And you are...
dat ending though
TonyKnockOff from 3:31 on is fucking genius.
best song from best album
One of the best blur songs ever!
Well this is by far the most dreamy song I've heard from blur and it's amazing!
Caramel=heroin. Got to stop smoking (caramel). That's my guess
revol148 this and self-titled were written to scare off all the teenage girls lol
Watchman5 The majority of people who dislike those albums are the ones who got accustomed with the soft-pop side of their previous releases. They couldn't handle experimental stuff.
i love Bugman...its so powerful and has a bit of sadness behind it
Yes. The entire album talks about heroin and the end of his love story (Damon Albarn)
Jacob D no..it is possible to smoke heroin idiot
you have no idea how much I love this song
+I can't choose my otp Actually i do. I miss it all back then.
I do :)
this album was crap, sorry
its their best album by far not that generic brit pop. i bet your favourite track is song2
You're a fucking idiot. Repent. Listen. Come back and tell me you have learned from your foolish (shit taste) ways!
Vytas J his opinion man
IceCat7 that mean man
you have a playlist called "My Ultimate Pop Playlist!!" you can leave
Most beautiful thing to have come out of Essex
WHAT ABOUT TOWIE
Why am I imagining a woman in the sky looking down at a depressing land that's known for making caramel.
What a depressing scene :c
WAConline I imagine being a heroin addict when I listen to this song
@Pennyroyal Ozma i dont have to imagine that
usb cable shit dude
one of the best songs in the music history
best break up song saddest break up song
@polidelia it's not about a breakup
It’s about substance misuse (in this case heroin or ‘caramel’)
hauntingly beautiful
listening to this is like dreaming while still awake in a reality full of shit
totally
+rockerarge Agreed. I'm going through it now in this shitty age with arsehole mainstream Muzack. Find it hard as fuck to get out of bed in this shitty television age in Britain.
rockerarge perfect
Awesome! :D
