Blue Oyster Cult - Shadow Warrior Lyrics
I have no home. I live within my mind.
I have no one. No one I'm bringing up to the sky with me.
No weapon - I carry no sword, only my hands to protect me.
No laws - I obey no laws; my spirit is righteous and free.
A bridge between today and yesterday.
If I pull her close what will the spirit say?
I have no home. I live within my mind.
I have no one. No one I'm bringing up to the sky with me.
Her face, the image of a thousand stars.
A bridge between tomorrow and today.
If we destroy one another, Dolman will ever break the day.
In my mind, a voice calling.
Spirit singing, a song of the ages.
Depend on today, like father's honor,
She has come to take it away!
[Instrumental]
I see - my life has flashed as the star meets my head.
Body of an angel, with the strength of ten men;
Through the trees, dark as a raven, black hair flying -
The justice of Heaven.
I have no home. I live within my mind.
I have no one, no one. My spirit is righteous and free.
No weapon - I carry no sword, only my hands to protect me.
No laws - I obey no laws; without honor, you'll never be free.
[Instrumental]

(Donald Roeser/Eric Bloom/Eric Von Lustbader)
Erwin Moller do u still listen?
BOC WIZARD Kenton Jones luvs u YHANKS pose 2 b a t
This screams Kenshio.
only my hands 2 protect me
Boc is the best
Does anybody else think about Roland Deschain from hearing this song?
no weapons i live within my mind! z
as we all should1 i miss .............alvis
reminds me of Black Sabbath
They did a tour together one year called "The Black and Blue" tour. They made a movie about that tour in the early 80s.
Sayven1 I know, I thought that was cool because I like them both
excelent music
what does "Dolman" mean in this song?
Blue Oyster Cult: I always loved this song the best, especially the freakish part from 3:15 on: Body of a ninja!.
@david mccoy: Of course this isn't even close to Hawkwind.
Seriously: What/Who can compete to "Masters of the universe" or "Silver machine"? ^^ pretty hard.
But this is intense: Good craftmanship by BOC!
Is that Buck singing? Doesn't sound like anyone else. If so he's stretching his range to the limit
@Tod melville hi, that is eric bloom singing this
Eric's singing lead with Buck singing harmony on some of the verses.
Hawkwind, Don't do it. Not even fucking close. Are you fucking kidding me.
The lyrics and the way he sings makes me think of Ozzy having a sudden moment of sobriety and writing a song.
It's got such a Yamabushi feel to it.
When you look at 80's Japanese Anime, and you see that Metal Hair, that classic 80's hair, the massive chests with the fishnet tops, blinding fast darts, ninja-to and special effects, you feel this song.
my fav is still Agents, it just has a weird almost morbid sound, and thats w/out Reaper
BluOysterWizard, you are the DUDE.
Mirrors is the best one i'd listened to before understanding this band went through stages and were as emotional a band as ever has been- i cannot express to you all that a variety in who you listen to can truly give you perspective in styly of singing and guitaring- BOC are by far one of the all time greats- if you can still buy club ninja- buy it for 'perfect water (worth every penny' and then simply enjoy the rest.
Badass.One of their best.
man i just got into BOC not long back after watchin this movie the stoned age i decided to check out everything other than dont fear the reaper, which i still like but i wanted to hear what else they had to offer, i listened to agents of fortune first, and i liked it, but wanted it to rock more, and i listened to everything up through fire of unknown origin thinkin man i wish they would get on those guitars again. and then i listened to club ninja, and was like, fuck YEA!! love this whole album.
its a much better album than agents of fortune!
@Magnum
Lol they're both great albums
forgot bout this one, i have no hope, my mind is blank my heart freaked out
@osoz1111 I was in a Shorin Ryu Karate class some years ago. The last time I was in that class was in 2008. Pretty interesting class. I didn't make it that far but at least I got a first black stripe which is one notch above beginner
BOC is ALWAYS AAAwesome! :D \m/
Club Ninja was so good someone stole my copy.
this is our private, favorite BOC album; it is musically complex imo; if we have to explain it to someone, then it's not for them. we still love them, it's just not their cup of tea; i found the "warrior's poem" in the book of runes. these song lyrics are mostly borrowed from that anonymous work
I have no life and death: I make the tides of breathing my life and death.
@danophile07 yeah, not as heavy maby, but better! BOC is true talent.
They should release this, without the synthezisers. Makes it seem outdated.
Reminds me of Hawkwind a bit.
I have to admit the song is pretty mediocre for BOC, but the two solos are just awesome!
Seriously! why did everyone come down so hard on Club Ninja!? it had Make Rock Not War, Madness To The Method, Perfect Water... fuck, i dont even gotta name off the track list, they were all good songs... i am a die hard fan of these guys, and i seriously need to get this album... it definetely is in my top 5 for this band...
Many parts of this song are thrash, lol.
Damn right it is :D. My dad has a bunch of tapes from when he was a kid, and my favorite by far is Club Ninja.
awesome song! i want it! dno why they went down after 1982 this is cool maybe its coz during teh 70's they were an influence for many to make heavy metal music and in teh 80's when hevay metal became huge blue oyster cult wernt at all as heavy as most teh bands they probably influenced
