An underrated song on an underrated album.
BOC created almost totally different sounds for each album reinventing themselves and their music continually while remaining smart and eclectic.
They're my favorite band because of this and I am so glad I was introduced to them at an early age.

Friend asked me to recommend my favorite boc albums. Six months later I am still thinking about it.

Sometimes I'm jealous of my dad's life as he was able to go see this band and was able to listen to there songs as soon as they came out, only been listening to BÖC for a year and it's my favourite band

This is epic and this album is supposed to be the one that sucks..lol. BOC are the greatest band ever....

This band just has such an effect on me. They were my favorite band after I saw them in 1978 but I went on to other music in 83. I did not know this album existed until 2009. I immediately concluded Perfect Water was a masterpiece but thought the rest of the album was poor. Now I find myself into this and Dancin in the Ruins quite heavily. Amazing band.

Always loved this song from the first few listens of the album back in 1985 ... it's a sprawling masterpiece from the main man ....

I played this song for a girl who doesn't like BOC, and she said so, but this was the 1st song of their that she liked.

That St. Cecilia Electra Years collection, both of them combined, is really great. Certainly some great stuff all the way up to the final studio release. I think this one has too much production

The memories only lacking, One of the all time greatest bands, so underrated,in the 80's they were height of their performance culminating in Imaginos. I truly feel sorry for people who have not listened to their albums of that era, guess they were more into makeup and hair, such a pity.

Saw them in 1989 at the Hammersmith Odeon and it was one of the best rock performances I have ever seen and I have been to gigs since 1970 and seen most of the name bands, the Floyd, Zeppelin ( three times ) and almost stopped bothering in the 80s. Still playing and a new album due in 2020. ' Imaginos ' is a future classic.

Not exactly their best album overall. But this song was always cool. And the ending is pure greatness.

Typically classy Buck tune if quite atypical and meandering in nature. It works. I think the theme is a comment on the dating/bar scene. Anyways it's wonderful stuff from the maestro.

My original cassette copy of Club ninja had 'Madness to the method' fade out at the end, and didn't have Howard Stern voice-over on 'When the war comes'...

Club Ninja definitely had two versions in the early days, I believe one was a UK mix??? I own about 4 discs but I don't know if any of them differ ...

There's something about BOC that gets me in a creative mood. Every time I listen to them in bulk I start to come up with so many ideas for writing projects.

Try Journey's "Next" album. This song reminds me of that album. No sappy love songs, just good ol progressive rock!

+Greg Berry Well, Joe played on this record, so you can't say there were no Bouchards involved. Also, the band was still functioning once they got back together later in the 80s. So, I'm inclined to disagree with you, but they were certainly better with Albert and Joe.

Thanks to the keyboard work, the outro is extraordinarily beautiful and has that progressivish feel which makes this song the most "epic" track of all BOC tunes. I don't like this album like others but this track alone makes the album worthy.

This song, Perfect Water, and Spy In The House Of The Night. And maybe Dancin' In The Ruins on a good day.

There is BOC and very very far below, everything else. I pity the earthlings that miss out on them.

In my opinion, this is my 9th favourite band, and I've just been checking them out all day today and this past week, before I only knew the song Don't Fear The Reaper but after hearing Burning For You I decided to check out some others and as of them I've been checking out a lot of their other songs when I can, which is quite a lot.

But no matter what this band creates, in my opinion is not as good as some other bands I've known before this one.

Yes I may not have heard all of their songs but from what I can gather this is a fucking amazing band and pretty much every song I've heard is pretty damm great, it just won't compare to other ones I've known.

I also don't understand what you mean about already typing, since my original previous comment was the first time I had actually typed on this video, yes I put my opinion out and my opinion is that this is a very very great band but in my opinion I find that other bands suit me better, if you'd want to know then I can tell you my favourite songs but remember to not compare something so much, just because you think that it is better doesn't mean that your opinion automatically overrides mine.

this album rocks

BOC has a very original style, their songs sound like no other band. Very intersting melodically, and Buck Dharma's solos are really well constructed with a great choice of notes, and sound nothing like  the average rock guitarist mindlessly blasting a pentatonic.

Not to mention Eric used to ride a motorcycle on-stage at concerts sometimes.

Tommy Zvoncheck produced the piano solo, to the best of my knowledge, and he may not have even been an official member of the band at the time.

They very first terrible idea that started it was Club MTV with Downtown Julie Brown. After that the downward spiral just accelerated.

I haven't got my original pressing anymore as my ex-wife smashed hell out of it when we split.

I loved this song when I first bought this album many years ago. The ending to the song was awesome, but either it has been remastered or my record player was crap, but it didn't sound anything like this. Has anyone got the original pressing of it or can someone enlighten me as to what happened...

I have a small collection of the full size CD packaging used in stores, until they needed more space and less cardboard, but we have a store here called CHEAPOS and though, not cheap at all, they have all the great audio and vid formats I can see other then HD-DVD which was oddly absent

MTV and VH1 original are not even music as we've known it, growing up with what MTV defined in it's truest sense, I marked 1995 as the MTV deathknell, and I see music across the board suffer since, but MTV and VH1 aren't even a joke anymore, they're irrelevant

early to mid 80s were great but some late 80s and 90s works were good too. I liked some of the bands that were hits in the 80s and could carry over into the 90s like U2. Even better than the real thing.

I have most of BOC's albums up to Club Ninja on vinyl. Not originally. I went to Rhino Records in the early 90's and bought a bunch.Got tired of the cd boxes cutting most of the album picture off. Records are in pretty good shape too.

Les Invisibles. One of my top 5 songs from them.

Late 90's. Aug. 81 to about 85 when they actually showed 'good' rock videos. After that they blew. By the way this song shows the great guitar work that Buck should be known for.

mtv ruined music. jethro tull, frampton, boc were not pretty boys! (don't kill me boc!). mtv laid music to waste then left the ashes to smolder. they don't even play MUSIC videos now! mtv=the devil!

They still do play music believe it or not. m I'm looking at the Electronic Program Guide, But I don't see it. MTV has a program in the mornings called "AMTV". They would run 2 1-hour blocks of AMTV. On MTV2, there is "MTV2 Music Mix" from 4:00 to 9:00 weekdays.

@mung559 I just have the standard CD. I want to see the band again but I always refer back to their last DVD. Good stuff to enjoy live BOC anytime, and as Buck stated, he's gotten better over time, with much playing from the 70s to now! Rock on, rock on!

@MetallicBill I've got a bunch of the Imaginos songs pulled up right here on youtube and in a playlist. It is all coming back to me now. It is actually pretty impressive stuff. I remember seeing the blue vinyl LP when it first came out. I should have bought it then I guess.
