Blue Oyster Cult - Kick Out The Jams Lyrics

Kick out the jams brothers and sisters.

Well I feel pretty good
And I guess that
I can't get crazy now baby
Cause we all got in tune
In the dressing room
Yeah hazy now baby

Well I know how you like it child
Hot, sweet and tight
The girls can't stand it
When you do it right
When your'e up on the stand

And let me kick out the jams
Yes, kick out the jams
Come on kick'em out

Well I'm starting to sweat
You know my shirt's all wet
What a feeling

And the sound that abounds
And resounds and rebounds
Off the ceiling

Yeah you gotta have it baby
You can't do without
'Cause when you get that feeling
You gotta sound 'em out
Put that mike in my hand

And let me kick out the jams
Yes! Kick out the jams
Com on kick'em out

You know I got to get 'em up
You know I can't
Get enough Miss Mackenzie

Yeah the sounds in my brain
You know it drives me insane
With the frenzy

Well the whailin' guitars
And the crash of the drums
Make me wanna keep-a-rockin'
Till the morning comes
Let me be who I am

And let me kick out the jams
Yes, kick out the jams
Yes, kick out the jams
Yes, kick out the jaaams
I done kicked 'em out

    Man .. Albert Bouchard ..

BÖC is one of my favourite bands and certainly the most influencial on my work as a composer / musician. I would love your input on the first video of my first album. It got the attention of one of my heroes Joe Bouchard (ex bass player founding members of BÖC) who is following us on Soundcloud but returns from people who likes same music is always the best. If you have just 3 minutes to listen and a bit more to comment, that would mean the world to me. Keep rockin' : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pu_p1wbaCa8

Everybody thought Buck Darma was this wild man. Come to see he was a little wild man a little hen pecked.but a great guitar picker.

  14. M.... K....

Rick Downey rocked the fuck out of this song

    M.... K....

That's Albert on the drums ... & until August 1981 ... did Rick ever play this song live with the band ?

  15. S.... D....

This song ain't the same played live without Wayne Kramer shuffling his feet on-stage while playing guitar.

  16. E.... S....

This cover kicks so much fucking ass. Buck Dharma is insane.

  17. S.... B....

Some of the most un-sung, underappreciated 70's hard rock there is.

  18. S.... L....

Wayne Kramer probably creamed his pants when he heard this!

  19. B.... D....

Featuring on their great live album "Some enchanted evening" : Kick out the jams, brothers and sisters !

BOC paying tribute, awesome tune original and cover.

  21. M.... S....

    Thanks, kurt

  22. K.... S....

    Needed more cow bell.

  23. T.... R....

Buck Fucking Dharma. Christ, that man can play a guitar.

  24. D.... Y....

    Kick that ass, BOC!!!!

  25. S.... S....

    Needs more cowbell

  26. e.... m....

    This Rocks.

  27. S.... W....

I've just watched the MC5 original live version & it's absolutely seminal and almost untouchable. BOC of course do a good job here, you have to be fired up to take this on & they are and of course they have the ace in the pack - Mr Buck Dharma on guitar ....

  28. m.... n....

    I need more cowbell!

  29. t.... ....

What a great cover). It was done while Wayne K was incarcerated and it is still electric. I hope my buzz isn't ruined by some sort of Copyright, infringement, legal B S .If all is good, what a tribute. Please weight in and let me know if my assumption is right, wrong, or close.

  30. T.... ....

That's the coolest guitar I've ever seen.

  31. P.... S....

Wonder what "Sonic" Smith thought of this rendition.

    P.... S....

BOC should have covered "City Slang".

  32. M.... E....

BOC did a lot of covers of songs from other bands they liked. This kicks ass, and I have the MC5 live album as well. Buck Dharma is one of the greatest underrated rock guitarists of all time!

    M.... E....

    U r so right..Buck is genius

    M.... E....

    Mercury Engine qwerty

    M.... E....

True day boc was my 2 nd concert Seattle center colliseum one of the best band s the boc symbol was up every where I n the 70 s

    M.... E....

My fav cover by BOC was ''Born To Be Wild'' (saw them in '80 with Sabbath as part of the 'Black N Blue Tour')

    M.... E....

    MC5...grande ballroom...lsd ..

  33. c.... m....

    thats what i call playing,,,fk

  34. c.... ....

I love BOC, but this just doesn't compare to the MC5 version. Plus they added a few bars to 'normalize' the time signature/

    c.... ....

@ECGON F 06 Yeah that's cool. I just wish they played it faster. The BOC version is the first one I heard as a yout.

    c.... ....

+cryptsub   Like BOC....MC5 was way ahead of their time. I think BOC wanted to pay tribute to one of their influences.

    c.... ....

Presidents of the USA also do a rockin cover, which I prefer it to the versions by BOC, RATM and even the MC5

    c.... ....

Cryptsub, it's a big ask to take on the MC5 version due to it's energy & social significance, not to mention it's their track, yes the live version (from 69??) is the boss. I think BOC do it plenty of justice here, high energy, just having fun & paying tribute to a pioneering act & Buck is smoking .........

    c.... ....

    cryptsub
This is not MC5 so why would it sound like them

  35. H.... ....

Mark Coombes... wherever you are.  You still owe me $35.00 from 1982 when I gave you money to buy me a ticket to the Edmonton show of Blue Oyster Cult when I was on holidays with my family but you used the money to buy  your mum a birthday present with it instead.

    H.... ....

Not cool...adjusted for %151 cumulative inflation, Mark would owe you about $88.00 as of 2017

  36. J.... B....

Nice Ramblin' Rose interlude thrown in there.

  37. K.... B....

the first time I saw them I missed a lot of the guitar playing - I couldn't take my attention away from albert bouchard - he's a phenomenal drummer

    K.... B....

Your comment is five years old, but I get it. I'm mostly into guitar and singing, but both Albert and Joe are phenomenal. Albert is fast as hell without losing the creativity.

  38. m.... ....

    Kick out them jams!

  39. G.... ....

These guys kick butt live. Don't miss them if they come to your region; they're no longer young.

    G.... ....

They also do killer covers of "Born to be Wild", "Roadhouse Blues" & some other standards.

    G.... ....

yea yea ive seen them 45 times/they comin to mohegan sun for free  may 25 they sound just like back in the day STILL
