I had at first not really liked this song because it wasn't like typical heavy blue oyster cult song and I thought it was soft. but bucks solo is great once I really listen more objectively

It's lighter for sure but has lovely lyrics, vocal & guitar ... it's BOC at the end of the day, it's nearly all good/great ...

Such a soft and lovely tune in both meaning and execution.

Won't get into semantics , was very unlike the usual BOC song list! My little sister is ten years my junior, she grew up listening to BOC, but this one surprised her! She knew BoC! this one blew her away! Mirrors is a special piece of work!

@Del Shoemaker Actually, I would posit that Blue Oyster Cult had a lot of songs like this, e.g. Redeemed, Fireworks, Going Through The Motions, Debbie Denise, etc. They embraced not just the "dark" and "heavy", but also "the light" and sensual.

The Chorus seems like it should say in you instead of in thee, "I wrap myself in solitude but I wish I could wrap myself in *You*" I guess a song called "In You" would give off a different vibe than a love song though

I disagree, 'In you' lyric/title sounds contrived and dumbed down, BOC were better than that.

In thee does mean "in you" is just "in thee" sounds more sophisticated than basically saying "in you"

I think that Subhuman from Tyranny and mutation (i think) and Blue Öyster Cult from the Imaginos album have the same lyrics. So they probably sound somewhat alike.

I played this at my husband's funeral...blue Oyster cult was his fav band, and Mirrors, his fav album. Now they give me comfort!
