This album takes a complete 180 in terms of quality as soon as the title track comes on. Before then, I wasn't really enjoying the album.
Straight from that song to the end was pure fucking gold.

to be honest the only good power metal is from sweden and various other european countries. the 'muricans just continue to prove their scene is endangered.

Are you kidding me ? I live in India and I know there are way way better bands than a7x. What about tool, Mastodon, overkill, testament, and recently power trip. And these are just guys with the new stuff out. The older albums of various other bands are amazing. Agreed the variety definitely comes from Europe and Canada.

For American power metal, Kamelot is pretty good.

In my opinion that album is not so good as previous 2, but still kick ass.

Lead singer sounds a bit like Helloween,Sacred Worrier, Satan`s Host...yes I can hear Black Sabbath in there also.

To be absolutely clear, asking what Metallica sounded like was rhetorical device to ask if you'd try to squeeze different bands into one that's established with millions of followers. I should have used Iron Maiden, Slayer, Black Sabbath. Sorry for not doing that and triggering your dislike for a band.

I already told you why that's a thing...*because people are capable of hearing and thereby also capable of recognizing similar patterns and sounds*, and thus they point it out. I don't know how you're having trouble understanding that very simple fact.

And yes, the same shit happens with famous bands...though you seem to have turned a blind eye to that.

That said...you know...it doesn't really work when the examples you give are bands that established the tropes genres and sounds of Metal music as we know it. Black Sabbath?  Really? Okay, let me find a metal band that the first Metal Band in existence sounds like...oh...right, most of them. Ozzy Years? Literally all of Stoner and Doom metal. Dio years? The definition of Power Metal.

Care to give me another example that outright doesn't work? Next time, don't chose the bands that birthed the genre. It'll make you seem like less of a clueless idiot.

First song reminds me slightly of a heavy version of Black Sabbaths dehumanizer album. Good stuff.
