SRXT is short for Seroxat, an anti depressant, with an odd side effect of sometimes causing suicide... Yes, stupid, but they are complex drugs.
The song is thinking about suicide. Sorry to crush anyone who thinks it's about hope.
Listen to the lyrics and it's apparent.
It's mainly about Kele being disaffected about being a gay male romantic in a fast paced world. I know, I have been there. It's still a stunning song, in a melancholic way.

This song reminds me of a woman I approached on Bank Station! Her name was Laura Carmen, and she was half Spanish, ah, she was so beautiful. It was quite ironic though, that I met her on Bank Station. Typical!

@Maleknia I used to think the same, but if you really try to let it 'grow on you', 2:32 is where the true excellence of the song begins. The drum build-up and climactic ending just sounds so powerful and proud. It's sad, yet hopeful, and that's why it's so good.

Bloc Party, in my opinion, only have around 3 or 4 genuinely bad songs in total, and those ones are all from their younger years... which would make sense.

@atextarte Oh for goodness sake. It's amazing how many times comments like this have been going around Bloc Party and Muse songs. Yes the whole song is good, but I think the best part is 3:00 - 4:00.

@theTG They don't cause suicide. The antidepressant makes people motivated to do things with themselves.
Unfortunately a lot of people who are depressed the main thing that they have been thinking about is suicide.
Everyone put onto any medication like antidepressants needs to be very carefully monitored.

Of course your partly right, those who are on anti depressants are obviously a high risk category but the drugs themselves can also have the odd effect empowering those with depression giving them clarity and putting them at ease about dying and giving them the 'focus' to do it. The irony being I think this record might have a similar effect (to the drug), fortunately I am not of the thinking of suicide, at all but if I was, the sad, melancholic, reflective beauty of this record, might just soothe any anxieties I might have about doing it. This would probably be the record I took my posters down and wrote letters to them all to
