Black Sabbath - Behind The Wall Of Sleep/Wasp Lyrics

Visions cupped within a flower
Deadly petals with strange power
Faces shine a deadly smile
Look upon you at your trial

Chill that numbs from head to toe
Icy sun with frosty glow
Words that grow read to your sorrow
Words that grow read no tomorrow

Feel your spirit rise with the breeze
Feel your body falling to it's knees
Sleeping wall of remorse
Turns your body to a corpse
Turns your body to a corpse
Turns your body to a corpse
Sleeping wall of remorse
Turns your body to a corpse

Now from darkness there springs light
Wall of Sleep is cool and bright
Wall of Sleep is lying broken
Sun shines in you have awoken

Am I the only one who thinks the witch on the cover is hot?

  18. torgo4ever

I made what was probably the best " investment" I'll ever make in my life about twenty years ago when I found a first edition pressing of this album STILL IN THE PLASTIC at a flea market and snapped it up for what my friends said was crazy money given that " no one plays albums anymore" . Don't know what it might be worth now and don't care because that thing is in a frame on a wall where it will stay till I can't groove to this music any more. \m/ > < \m/

    Ms. Gutsy Mummy

I remember vinyl very well, but I'm still stuck on CDs. F**k Apple, Spotify, whatever. I'm down with YouTube though. 🤘

  29. D. Aardentvarkitage

I keep returning back to the older, best music ever done. The original stuff.

"Follow the smoke to the riff filled lands"

  32. Mike Ryan

Sabotage one of the greatest all time collection of magical genius! From Tony's mesmerizing riffs that move you to rock n boogie n bang your head to Geezer's superior backbone and insanely beautiful lyrics as well and never least Stinky's heavy as Bonham and delicate as thunder drums and sent to the sky with Ozzy's clear articulated devil sans angelic howls of pure vocalization can I say more

  33. Heyoka ChiefBigMouth

    156 people have no life.

  34. IwshIcldstrtover

It's too bad that people don't listen to the lyrics to the tune "Black Sabbath". It should steer people away from all evil, due to the fact there will be more people in hell than there will in heaven. Don't believe it? Just read what Jesus said.
So you think satan's cool? Think again! https://www.compellingtruth.org/narrow-gate.html

  52. Sepher Agon

Someone once replied to me in a comment that they (Black Sabbath) are Christians. Well ... while I am not going to dispute that persons' opinion here I must say however that some of their content is definitely not. And I'm sure that most would agree, as the beautifully epic piece above illustrates. This is not to detract anything from their wonderful art, as art doesn't have to convey one's personal beliefs only, often the better it is the more it identifies with its subject matter, which gives it a truer, more passionate portrayal of what it expresses - as can be felt in their amazing work here, "N.I.B." - Nativity In Black.

    Sepher Agon

I did not wish to end on a cautionary note, as many could interpret it as being a detraction from their work, which it certainly is not, in fact on the contrary, its (arts') power to move is a testament to its ability to sublimate even that which we may find objectionable, even repulsive. This is why, so as not to detract, I posted this thought here, separately from the main body. Which is, that the wiser among us can see the danger that art poses - which is the reason why tyrants and petty minds in authority throughout the ages have always tried to suppress and censor its content.

    Way Word

@Sepher Agon You OK, and you enjoy. Don't let nonsense enter the discussion in your head.

@Way Word Which one? It is the wall of NO remorse though.

    Way Word

@Sepher Agon I think that I only meant that you were soo serious about BS and it's lyrics - which is pretty cool - that's all. Meaning that you could be lawyer or an accountant cuz you get down to the nitty gritty. Anyway, raw on.

    Sepher Agon

@Way Word O, thank you bro. I'm gonna take down my other comment of course, it don't belong here. Peace

    Way Word

@Sepher Agon All good there Yuri. I'm just a little confused with the timeline of these comments. Your comments were just fine; hence, why I replied. Keep the passion.
