Black Dahlia Murder, The - Into The Everblack Lyrics

One thousand hands pull you down into dark waters
Victimized time of life on earth expired coldly served
The vengeance damning murder in the first degree fodder
For the oaken box so lined with velvet tapestry.
Descent imminent bladder and bowels into pants spent
The glow is waning in your eyes what's coming next is no surprise.
Death phlegm rattles terrible the choking swansong rapid decline when old age brings burdens cumbersome cruelly dealt the sickness growing malignancies triumphantly destroyed you from the inside out begging for death insistently.

Into the everblack from where there's no coming back
Six feet below the earth rotting food for the fetid worms
Into the harrowed grave your mortal soul cannot be saved
Into the nether realm dead as slate and cold as hell.

Funereality headstones towering above s'far as the eye can see
Condemned to hell so morbidly
My friend you'll never see lost forever in between
in revenance you've been deceived what you have prayed for shall not be
Your hollow cries he has denied, your weak religion dies
With thee a feeble cross insignia of fabled gods
You'll haunt a landscape draped in grey
Deceased and meant to be to push the daisies up eternally your name is here in stone.

Into the everblack from where there's no coming back
Six feet below the earth rotting food for the fetid worms
Into the harrowed grave your mortal soul cannot be saved
Into the nether realm dead as slate and cold as hell.

Everyones all stoked about new TBDM and im here listening to the last album they made that was at par with the rest. Abysmal was so disappointing... Nightbringers is better but still doesnt sound as clear and tight as this shit right here.

    p.... ....

putputt abysmal was more about having an aggressive feel to it
And Nightbringers is building upon that. So to say they weren't good is to say that Dahlia might as well stop making music if people are gonna bitch that it doesn't sound good

    Join the club"

  40. A.... I....

    https://youtu.be/IeimgFe8ARY
Hi, playing drums for passion, NO satanism, no online lessons,if you want to learn you can looking for a GOOD teacher NEAR your place.. if you're looking for a professional drummer for a professional project you can contact

    A.... I....

Was saying no Satanism really necessary? This band isn't really Satanic. They just play it up for horror themes.

    A.... I....

Paul Westfall drums are evil didn't you know?

  41. P.... T....

Go listen to real metal like sleeping with sirens or black viel brides instead of this scene band.

    Just kidding

    P.... T....

Elisabeth Anderson this band seriously sucks and this entire genre sucks all it’s just retarded screaming and repetitive drum and OVER KILL over drive

    P.... T....

Mf had me about to bitch at you for that

  42. c.... ....

Do you guys watch those snuff videos?

  43. T.... H....

THIS IS NOT DEATHCORE JUST BECAUSE YOU HEAR SOME SECTIONS WHICH YOU THINK RESEMBLE A BREAKDOWN.... morons

  44. K.... E....

Jeez, that is a discordant growl? At least Motorhead could produce recognisable music. Maybe its a generation gap thing.

    K.... E....

@Blues Man When you listen to a lot of death metal you start to be able to discern the vocals much better.

    K.... E....

+Kenny Edwards Growled vocals can be traced back centuries ago to Viking culture. In the 10th century, an Arab merchant visiting Denmark commented on the local music as follows: "Never before I have heard uglier songs than those of the Vikings in Slesvig. The growling sound coming from their throats reminds me of dogs howling, only more untamed."[9]In Hildegard of Bingen's 12th-century allegorical morality play Ordo Virtutum, the role of the Devil uniquely does not employ melodic singing, but is performed in a manner which Hildegard specifies as strepitus diaboli and which is often taken to mean a low and growling voice.[10][11]In 1966, The Who released the song "Boris the Spider," which featured death growls sung in basso profundo by bass player John Entwistle. This can be considered one of the first uses of death growl in popular music.[12]The use of growling, "monstrous" vocals for ominous effect in rock music can be traced at least as far back as "I Put a Spell on You" by Screamin' Jay Hawkins in 1956. Mike Oldfield's "Tubular Bells, Part Two," from 1973, contains a section from 11:55 to 16:30 featuring extensive use of guttural vocals which are very close in style to the modern "death growl."In 1969 and the early 1970s, the song "21st Century Schizoid Man" by King Crimson is notable for its heavily distorted vocals sung by Greg Lake. The songs "Iron Man" by Black Sabbath and "One of These Days" by Pink Floydboth contain brief passages of ominously growled, low-pitched vocals (in both cases studio-manipulated) against a heavy background of rock riffs. Other examples are Roger Waters' screams in some Pink Floyd songs, such as "Take Up Thy Stethoscope and Walk" (1967), "Careful with That Axe, Eugene" (1968). Punk rock bands like The Clash and the Stiff Little Fingers also regularly employed gruff sounding vocals, however nothing like the death growl common in metal music today. On the other hand, the low, raspy, aggressive pitch of Lemmy from Motorhead is not unlike the growl and can be thought to presage the current style.[13]

    K.... E....

+Schpudd Also Jim morrison of the doors User some Kind of screams/growls in The End.

    K.... E....

Kenny Edwards This is some of the clearly annunciated growling honestly. It's a lot easier to understand than some other bands.

    K.... E....

If you care about lyrics, you don't appreciate music.

  45. l.... m....

03:35 - they should have used this one more often in the song

    l.... m....

+laber mich nicht zu I totally agree

    l.... m....

If they use it to much it loses its impact

  46. J.... ....

Best fucking band ever I just came from listening to fucking pierce the veil and sleeping the sirens, I must cleanse myself with real music after that shit I've just heard minutes ago, Trevor is a fucking genius!! Lyrics always incredible and epic vocals. TBDM already truly a cult metal band

    J.... ....

+Father Damien Karras As my father told me
''Hate the bands but LEARN TO RESPECT THE FUCKING FANS''
My father is a good man
I usually bash on slapnuts(slipknot), a7x and some other shitty bands but the emo stuff i don't make fun of, mostly because i still listen to bands like From first to last and some of the old albums of MCR, but anyway, lets face it, everyone once in a while listens to something he isn't proud of
Btw maximum the hormone is the best band in the world

    J.... ....

+Father Damien Karras Check maximum the hormone, you won't regret it

    J.... ....

+Sonny Garcia Why even bash on anything when you just can ignore them and Focus on the things you actually like? That's usually more helpful in life.

    J.... ....

+Sonny Garcia I'd rather bash the emo shit rather then slipknot lmao.

    J.... ....

So true this band is fucking insane genious, Trevors lyric writing is unmatched in metal

  47. R.... W....

One of those bands that just takes everything to the next level on each release. Every album is superior to the last. I look forward to what comes next.

    R.... W....

@Set Abominae yeah they are awesome, but personally i like deflorate the most

    R.... W....

While Nocturnal is my favorite due to nostalgia, I do love that they evolve their sound.

    R.... W....

    Ross William nightbringers

  48. M.... A....

    That guitar solo tho OMGGGG

    M.... A....

    Maria Abbruscato yyyyyyyeeeeeeeeeeeeee🕶🔥🔥🔥🔥🍻

    M.... A....

kills me every time I listen

    M.... A....

You are absolutely right mister. That solo is the absolute climax of this song.

    M.... A....

    Maria Abbruscato hail satan bitch

  49. M.... A....

    one of my favorites <3

  50. D.... ....

"Rest in Festering Slime. Here Burns the Souls of a Thousand Generations". they took this from the cover of the album Left Hand Path of the band Entombed

  51. W.... ....

Literally my favorite death metal band. Love all their work minus their EP and demo.

  52. P.... G....

Nothing like Nocturnal but well it still The Black Dahlia Murder <3

  53. R.... H....

Vocals in the beginning = Unleached

  54. S.... ....

why do the lyrics not bother saying, rest in festering slime, here burn the souls of a thoasand generations. join the club.

  55. A.... S....

    A.... S....

Sorry but i got the chills at 2:24

    A.... S....

    nooooooooooooooo 2:11

  56. B.... ....

The Black Dahlia Murder - the greatest band I have ever heard and I heard thousands of bands literally. Nocturnal greatest album in history of metal. Trevor, you fucking Genius.

  57. F.... H....

Don't get me wrong I love Black Dahlia Murder but it seems they have kinda lost their touch..keep in mind this is my opinion and dont speak for everyone. I do miss Shannon Lucas on drums though :[ still a good song and long live TBDM!

    F.... H....

I was hoping Shannon would join Battlecross! I thought this album was badass!  Look up their song Seppuku though! It's a Japanese bonus track! In Hell is Where She Waits for me and Seppuku are what made me look into this album more.  Then this song, Goat of departure, Blood Mine, and Their Beloved Absentee stood out.

    F.... H....

I always think it is when John left (old lead guitarist) when Deflorate was released. I dunno, Ritual and Everblack haven't had that same feel I was used to, but they are still amazing. It isn't that it is any better or worse, its just different. And sometimes that is a good thing

    F.... H....

john kempainen is the best guitarist i've known .

  58. S.... N....

Saw these guys live; crazy fucking show. And Carcass as well..not like that matters (sarcasm)

  59. s.... ....

like all their other albums this one has grown in me like a disease

  60. m.... ....

My favorite song from the album

  61. L.... K....

    Awesome!!!!! \_/

  62. P.... ....

These guys are just so sick. Metal elitists who bash or don't even give these guys a try are doofuses. These guys are killer!

    P.... ....

type these guys one more time

    P.... ....

    @TencoYT91 these guys

  63. n.... c....

....my kids names would be into the everyBlack!!!

  64. B.... G....

The only band that has ever only gotten better and better after every record. This band always amazes me.

    B.... G....

New American Gospel, As The Palaces Burn and Ashes In The Wake were the best LoG albums in my opinion. After that they started to decline, I mean there were still a fair few great songs on Sacrament (and even Wrath) but for my taste they seemed to lose a bit of that raw eagerness and it all got a bit too polished. Still undeniably a great band though.

    B.... G....

That being said, I feel Everblack is TBDM's weakest yet. Still some great tunes on the album and it's definitely heavier and dirty/raw but some songs miss the mark for me, like the chorus for "Raped in Hatred.." kinda grates a bit and seems beneath Trev's usual abilities. Every Rope a Noose slays as does Everblack and Phantom Limb but keen to see how the next one sounds for sure.

    B.... G....

So does Skyrim, you fat screen tanned fuck. Get outta here.

    B.... G....

Glad we agree you're a fat screen tanned fuck.

    B.... G....

+snow0wl78 I really like Wrath to be honest, I agree it doesnt have the rawness of the earlier records, but it's really damn energetic and always gets me pumped up.

  65. 5.... ....

I am glad I gave this band a listen now.

  66. 3.... ....

wtf is with the punk rock commercial before this? fuck that shit punk is for emo kids who havent heard metal

    3.... ....

    32NOBAMA you're stupid

  67. J.... B....

Sounds of the underground 2006 greatest performance them ever did that I witnessed haven't seen them in a few years this is fucking awesome compared to miasma and unhallowed love to see them live again

  68. D.... L....

    Fucking epik

  69. d.... s....

damn they got good well say good bye to warped tour bc now you guys sound to badass for it

  70. T.... ....

What's with all the douches in these comments. If you're not into melodic Death metal don't come here if you are then enjoy the god damn music.

  71. D.... ....

@eric.... They are listed as Melodic Death Metal and Death Metal by their label... So, they arent what, exactly?

    D.... ....

Also don't they hang out with Cannibal Corpse?

  72. L.... B....

I love this song so much

  73. A.... H....

@ericthehighlander What do you USUALLY listen to? Trash compactors crushing people into cars? This is about as Death Metal as it can get.

    A.... H....

You want Death Metal? Check 'Vorum - Grim Death Awaits'

    A.... H....

Then again, Black Dahlia Murder IS meant to be more melodic than most Death Metal, but to simply say it ISN'T at all Death Metal is pretty stupid.

    A.... H....

    @*****
You know what you're talking about. Some people are afraid to group a band with core elements in with their beloved death metal bands and some fans of TBDM don't like to admit that there are core elements, like it's an insult; they're just descriptors. If it's upsetting either way, just enjoy the music or turn it off, whatever your preference is.

  74. P.... ....

    Uh, no.

  75. C.... ....

    sa mène à rien...

  76. D.... D....

    Seeing them tonight!

  77. O.... C....

they arent even close to death metal.lol

  78. J.... H....

u got 2 mch swag fr me tho

  79. G.... M....

Saw them live a couple of weeks ago. Originally didn't know they where playing near me but a friend told me. I would've blamed myself for eternity if I hadn't gone. They are just amazing live. So energetic and just... amazing. If you ever get any chance of seeing them live, don't even doubt.

  80. o.... ....

    Seeing them tonight!

  81. M.... T....

Wow, these guys got a lot better. Cool.

  82. K.... ....

I can't believe that you're actually trying to argue with the most obvious troll on the planet earth.

  83. R.... G....

u sux munkey ballz n dragen dix at saem time

  84. R.... S....

    MESUGGAH

  85. R.... G....

it's badass how this band has evolved greatly yet retained the same distinctive sound

  86. s.... ....

went to high school with the new drummer here in casper wyoming haha he can tear it the fuck up!!

  87. s.... ....

he left and joined battlecross.....the new dude is alan cassidy....ex abigail williams

  88. O.... ....

He left to pursue other musical interests. The new drummer is just as beast, though.

  89. t.... ....

Sorry it took me a while... I didnt really cared... But hey! Here´s your second day ruined by me!!
    Congratulations !!!

  90. J.... B....

    youtube.com/watch?v=7DYqxbE67Fk most hardcore death ever

  91. c.... ....

hello excuse me, where the fuck is shannon lucas now? my favorite drummer of all time..

  92. S.... B....

its getting me sick how people can class this band as deathcore but stumble and stammer when they have no proof of it being deathcore or how they can confuse it with deathcore... I don't mind deathcore im not a death metal elitist but a band shouldn't be condemned for being something they aren't

  93. B.... B....

oh god you just ruined my day.
and probably my next day too

  94. F.... T....

Out of curiosity, what'd it say?

  95. t.... ....

Its not that hard to understand that, the dificult part is accepting stupid people like that may one day bring a new life to this world and turn it into the same dead inside, dumb, shit they are

  96. N.... l....

    Into thi everblaaaaeekkk

  97. J.... G....

who the fuck said this is Metalcore? xD what idiot would think that.. BDM sounds nothing like Asking Alexandria
