Pray for my inlaws- all of them but especially the ones whom I am the most estranged from right now. I am a recovering codependent myself and It has occurred to me that without compassion there would be no religion, no recovery and no difference in anybody's life.

This entire album called "Happy Man", was a fantastic Christian album. This song is from that album. It peaked at #6 on the Christian music charts in 1979.

The only performer i went and watch was BJ after becoming a Christian more than 40 years ago I went alone. i wanted to go with someone, but have always been careful and fearful to drag a fellow Christian to a secular concert/performer. BJ is a brother and i wish i can play some of his songs in the guitar. He is a real testimony to me of someone who had fame and fortune, but was saved and is still walking the narrow and constricted way!!!! PTL. He has been a comfort and an inspiration!!!

I have fond memories of this occasion. We just happened to be there, and were able to participate in this concert by B J Thomas, who was very popular beginning in the late '60s with "Rain Drops Keep Falling On My Head", a theme song for a movie. Thankfully, B J became a Christian and some of his contemporary Christian music was some of the best he ever wrote. You can check him out on you tube.....

You know, I use to sing in church and to some of my friends, and to some of my girlfriends I would sing some BJ songs, and they would tell me I sounded like him. They would encourage me to do something about it. But I never did, you know why? Because BJ not only has a great voice, he was and is the real deal. When he sings his songs, especially these Christian songs, he is this person in these songs. BJ Thomas really means what he sings, and God Himself gave him the talent and the strengths he has to stay in his marriage, and to be there in many ways for all his family, and to honor God by his whole life. He is a humble man, a good man, and a strong one. I have listened to his voice for over 35 years, and I've always felt God spoke truths through such a pure sounding voice. I was always, without fail; encouraged to continue on in my life, though I had my share of troubles, when listening to his music, his songs, his messages, and of course, his voice. BJ, I doubt if we will ever meet, but I want you to know, you did it right and well by the Lord's hand upon you. I  will see you in the kingdom of our Father, for we are both Christians. God bless, and hope and pray that each and every person that hears your voice, hears God calling them to the place of His Son....:)

loved his song You Gave Me Love. only sang it once years ago. before Ashma, and the song has added more people it reminds me of. for what it is worth to you this is the poem i recit One day I wished upon a star, have I really come this far/ it seems like only yesterday, when I thought love had gone to stary. Then you came along and made me see, that there was still a lot of love left in me, to share with those in the world outside, instead of forever letting it hide.
And even though you've gone away, I know God's love is here to stay, so I'll always remember that while with others I share, you were the one who taught me again to care. God Bless
