This hurts my ears, he can't sing and the music is not happening.... His poetry is cool tho. Y'all been listening to crap all these years and when somebody comes along that writes his own music and sings without autotune and plays real instruments y'all take that as being great. This is just noise...Good black music is underground and hard to find, but this is not it....

It's cool... and commercially "quirky"...However, in my opinion, His voice, the lyrics, the melody communicate the songs meaning much more clearly and intensly in the other version. the significance is that this album replicates another album cover by Krs One called By All Means Necessary where he is holding an Uzi and looking out the peering out a window. That album cover was a copy of Malcom X's By Any Means Necessary speech and album cover where he is holding a rifle and looking out a window in the same fashion. The greater significance in my estimation is that the guns have been replaced by a mic which shows the understanding that Music Is the weapon of the future....
