one of my firends is in same boat as you. i installed to alpine type R's in his trunk, 2 weeks later he hits black ice and spins out, hits a simi truck head on from the back, back half if his car is crushed to all hell, he passes out during the wreck and wakes up in a ditch covered and gas and his motor about to blow up because he passed out flooring it. it gets pulled out of the car, his right shoulder messed up for life(once it heals up just lost flexibility and strength) and the reason he made it out of the wreck alife was his woofers prevented the trunk from compelty caving in and crushing the fire extinguisher in the back.
when he was scrapping his car, the front of his woofer box was completely smashed in, but the alpines were fine and one if his kenwood amps had a cracked bord, i fixed that up for him. he continued to use those subs for years untill he got a truck and gave them away.
+RockeyDAproductions I would of always kept those Subs for just a story like this.
