Between The Buried And Me - Silent Flight Parliament Lyrics

I know what I must do.
I know what I must do.
I'm coming home.
Fixed socket threat.
Binocular vision.
I see all.
I hear all.
Superior intellect.
I'm the night owl.
Built by the alien Gods.
I'm the night owl.
A necessity to the existence of all life.
I'm the night owl.
I'm the night owl.
Fixed socket threat.
Binocular vision.
I see all.
I see all.
I hear all.
I'm the night owl.
I'm the night owl.
I return in the day but you won't ever see me.
Only my eyes.
The blaring, yellow sphere.
A sharp distortion.
The TV screen you stare at night after night.
Over and over.
Over and over.
I return in the day but you won't ever see me.
Only my eyes.
The blaring, yellow sphere.
A sharp distortion.
The TV screen you stare at night after night.
Over and over.
Over and over.
You are staring into me.
Cut the wires and cut your ties.
You aren't what you think.
An experiment.
They will send us to warn, but that's part of the game as well.
Fucking weaklings.
I still know what my mind tells you to do.
Cut out pieces to form new.
I still know what my mind tells you to do.
Cut out pieces to form new.
Am I me?
What is he?
Am I me?
What is he?
It's come to the point of opening the box.
Carved in the side are the words:
Property of the Night Owls.
Smash to unlock the desperate measures.

Am I me?
What is he?
Am I me?
What is he?
He is found and I will drag him to his end.
It's not selfish if it's what's right.
He knows I'm looking for him.
This thievery is for the bettering of all humankind.
So it seems.
Creep in before the rise of the sun.
They are sleeping.
Holding each other like it's the last...
And it is.
Open the valve.
Fill the room.
And it is.
Open the valve.
Say goodbye to everything.
Creep in before the rise of the sun.
They are sleeping.
Holding each other like it's the last...
Creep in before the rise of the sun.
They are sleeping.
Holding each other like it's the last...
And it is.
Open the valve.
Fill the room.
And it is.
Open the valve.
Fill the room.
Am I me?
Am I me?
Seek the day.
Never again.
Seek the day.
Never again.
Seek the day.
Never again.
Seek the day.
Weightless in the sea, sea of space.
Never again.
Seek the day.
Weightless in the sea, sea of space.
Never again.
Never again.
Eyes open to the sound of laughter.
Like a mighty God casting his spells on the worlds below.
The man is me.
Jet propulsion disengage.
Dancing towards our future.
A future of nothing.
A future towards nothing.
Jet propulsion disengage.
Dancing towards our future.
A future of nothing.
A future towards nothing.
Jet propulsion disengage.
Dancing towards our future.
A future of nothing.
A future towards nothing.
Jet propulsion disengage.
Dancing towards our future.
A future of nothing.
A future towards nothing.
Jet propulsion disengage.
Dancing towards our future.
A future of nothing.
A future towards nothing.
Goodbye to everything.
Goodbye to everything.

Between The Buried And Me Silent Flight Parliament Comments
  1. B.... W....

1:33 Rewriting of Telos' 4:25 guitar riff
2:47 Vocals similar to Lay Your Ghosts to Rest (around 0:46)
3:20 Rewriting and re-arrangment of different parts and transitions of Telos
5:40 Arpeggio reminiscent of Melting City
5:13 Chorus of Astral Body with new vocal melody, more Astral Body afterwards
6:25 Surf rock/circus section similar to what happens in Lay Your Ghosts to Rest & Extremophile Elite
9:47 Bass riff similar to the one in Melting City
11:24 The “Sea of space” melody introduced here is the same as White Walls 10:44
13:29 Lyrics from Goodbye to Everything and recapitulation of the solo from the beginning of the song

This mapping of the song is an extract form Calder Hannan's master thesis on Parallax II. If you thought it was interesting and want to learn more, I suggest that you listen to the podcast I just recorded with him. We talk about BTBAM and much more. Cheers!

    B.... W....

2:07 "Astral Body" riff played in B minor instead of B Major.

    B.... W....

    @NEIL SAEL good one!!

  2. L.... Z....

6:10 to 7:12 is the most fun I've ever had listening to music. These riffs are so goddamn good, and filled with so much energy. Paul Waggoner is an absolute GOD

  3. L.... P....

    I'm coming home...

  4. N.... ....

Not as memorable as White Walls or SMTTM. However, this song is a perfect album closer. No doubt.

  5. A.... A....

not an instant hit for me.technical af tho & sick drummer!! prob best part. going to investigate lyrics!

  6. J.... S....

2019. Got recommended this :) nice song

  7. D.... J....

Fixes me right up every time

  8. D.... H....

Its not selfish if its whats right

  9. J.... M....

I never really knew the complete story of The Parallax albums, I had a jyst of what went on but I didn't know the details. So I sat down one night, got super blazed and listened to Parallax 1 and 2 while reading the story alongside the lyrics. Let me say, the story fucking haunts you afterwards but damn is it good. Another reason for me to love these guys and enjoy them even more.

    J.... M....

Did you go through the older music as well and get the rest of the story? Lost perfection, prequel to the sequel, etc. I love how the story went so far back in their material

  10. T.... B....

what do they mean by silent flight parliament

    T.... B....

a parliament is the term for a flock of owls, i think you get it now

  11. T.... ....

Dream Theater & Opeth had a baby this would be it

  12. T.... ....

4 years and only 70k views.
    Reasons could be :
    1. This song is very popular and people listen to it on their phones. They don't necessarily have to youtube to listen.
    2. People are busy with their lives.
    3. People are busy helping others.
    4. People are busy resolving international conflicts.
    5. People have different tastes, and as prog rock is more of an acquired taste and requires a well developed brain to understand the complexities and technicality, not many show an interest, which is fair.

    OR

    6. People listen to Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj and other mindless brain draining music.

Now what reasons among the 6 above would you choose if you think those reasons would be in favor of furthering man's evolution and would be, as a whole, a testament to the good progress we might be making.

    T.... ....

6, and even i listen to T Swift and other pop artists, this type of music just goes wayyyyyyy over the average listeners head

    T.... ....

They just don't know about it yet, there's so much music out there

    T.... ....

yeah who the fuck do those people think they are, not conforming to your tastes?

    T.... ....

It's not the main YouTube channel for BTBAM...

  13. S.... ....

Great song. Playing it in loop. Will buy this album for sure!!

  14. J.... ....

You guys should try out some funk!

  15. R.... a....

    I fucken love music

  16. M.... ....

I think this is my favorite BTBAM song... The balance between heaviness and growls with calm and melodic vocals is perfect. This is the kind of song that has a lot of great things in over 15 minutes. This song shows what this band is capable of. Hope we can have a new album soon!

  17. M.... ....

Haken and Between the Buried and Me are the best prog bands since the last 10 years. This song is epic as fuck. Nice to have both bands doing different things at the same time.

    M.... ....

You better check out Nova Collective, Dan Briggs' instrumental sideproject with some members of Cynic and Haken. :)

    M.... ....

    Hell yeah Manuel.

  18. d.... ....

Paul and Blake take this song to the next level of special. Listen to their subtle touches. But the entire band is simply awesome.
This song is almost as good as Echoes, and that's saying something.

    d.... ....

destined2sleep when r people going to realise personal opinions are not in anyway reguarded as true.

  19. M.... J....

5:13 doesn't get enough love. Such a beautiful passage

    M.... J....

From that 5:10 till 15:10 is my favorite 10 minutes of all music ever! <3 Simply amazing...

  20. R.... K....

    9:27 and on cures depression

  21. J.... C....

there was another song on this album where he sings "cut out pieces". Which one was it?

    J.... C....

Jayo Caine Lay Your Ghosts To Rest. "Cut until all that is left is new material"

  22. D.... K....

always thought about btbam to be something metalcore-like. Boy was I wrong. This is all what progressive music is about!

    D.... K....

Well they have their metalcore elements in the early albums, up until Colors. Then with The Great Misdirect and onwards, it's just pure progressive metal :)

    D.... K....

I have always and still consider them prog deathcore. Lots of very heavy & technical sections

  23. A.... M....

I like the combo of your nickname and your image lol

  24. T.... ....

This song has EVERYTHING! incredible cleans, brutal and badass lyrics said by the night owls, the climax to the story, just epic, awesome guitar work, bone chilling mid section, these are all out of order but to sum it up, this song is the very definition of perfection

  25. E.... C....

I'll never forget listening to this album and hearing this song come on.. The pure emotion involved in this story is amazing.
Parallax will forever be one of the best progressive albums.

  26. C.... B....

Almost 4 years later this is still my favorite song ever. Nothing yet has topped this song

  27. M.... H....

    dancing towards our future

  28. J.... B....

This song got me hooked on them, so incredible

    J.... B....

Listen to their Colors album back to back.

    J.... B....

I listened to it a while ago it's amazing

  29. S.... ....

who can dislike such a masterpiece

  30. P.... 9....

3:04 - 3:29 some face melting work by BTBAM

  31. T.... S....

Hey man, nice shot at that rhythm section during the second half, so very original.

  32. C.... S....

Am am I I pink meat? what is.. pink?

  33. j.... ....

    7:40-9:47
You know those retarded youtube videos where people will replay something over and over again for like 8 hours?
    Yeah, that.

    j.... ....

+jmcsquared18 That part brings me here, every time.

    j.... ....

    RIP Prospect 2 wife

  34. P.... R....

One of my favorite BtBaM songs. Amazing finish to yet another amazing album.

  35. L.... ....

Man this can melt steel beams

    L.... ....

George Bush should have used this song

  36. S.... ....

Ugh, these guys are so fucking good. Can't stop listening, Parallax II might just be my favorite prog album right now. And just when I didn't think they could ever top Colors.

    S.... ....

I don't know why so many people seem to forget the album 'The Great Misdirect' I think that album is even better than Parallax 2 and Colors. It's mine favorite at least :)

    S.... ....

TGM is a tricky one for me, i feel like its kind of the dark horse in BTBAMs discography, landing straight in the middle of Colors and Parallax. Theres some really cool things about that album, Mirrors leading into Obfuscation is just as good an opener as White Walls is a closer and Swim To The Moon is completely epic like a lot of BTBAM closers have been

  37. R.... C....

    JET PROPULSION DISENGAGE!

    R.... C....

    DANCING TOWARDS OUR FUTURE

    R.... C....

    @robpiy91 A future of nothing

    R.... C....

@Elias Ross the future towards NOTHIIING

  38. T.... ....

The passage from 13:00 till the end is one of their best for sure. But am I the only one who hears a little Depeche Mode inspiration in the vocal lines ? Check Halo by Depeche Mode, great song too.

    T.... ....

Undoubtedly there's some Depeche Mode influence. Their cover album contains a Depeche Mode song iirc.

    T.... ....

+Tantrys You're very right. I can totally hear it. Like Auri said, they cover Depeche Mode on their cover album, so they are (seemingly) an influential band for them.

  39. d.... ....

    Prospect 2 did nothing wrong.

    d.... ....

I really need to learn more of the story.

    d.... ....

    Cole Allen https://m.reddit.com/r/BetweenTheBuriedAndMe/comments/18nsky/the_guide_to_the_parallax_ii_future_sequence/

there yiu can learn the story

    d.... ....

wwesuperhardyDX I'll check this out, thanks.

    d.... ....

What a cop out. Yo are the joke here.
    Nice prank bro!

  40. r.... d....

i swear to god if u dont leave mitchel alone ill freaking fite u

  41. D.... W....

Awesome conclusion to "The Two." More proof why they are the best band alive.

  42. C.... L....

This album and Dream Theater's Metropolis, Part II: Scenes From a Memory have so many similarities. I almost feel like BTBAM did so purposely as a silent and subtle nod to their prog metal forefathers.

    C.... L....

@DisreS That's your opinion, for me DT are really overrated, and there's bands that surpassing him like Fates Warning, Orphaned Land and the same BTBAM. Also, the best instrumental song was written by Dixie Dregs, so don't be so cocky with your commentaries.

    C.... L....

@N.I.B its not cocky, its my opinion, as you said. also dont get me wrong, just because i think that DT is not overrated doesnt mean that i dont think that there are better bands.

    C.... L....

I mean, they are overated, but isn't extreme saying they only have two good albums? also why Metropolis pt 2 is not a good album but parallax 2 is? (I love parallax 2 but still, I want your answer)

    C.... L....

@luisxindria Metropolis Pt 2 and Parallax 2 have to be two of the best albums ever made.

    C.... L....

Yes they are, so I didn't understand the hate

  43. C.... M....

9:25 and the section that follows gives me chills every time.

    C.... M....

    +Jess Hart Everyone else*

  44. L.... I....

good. but not the best from todays tech/prog obviously.

    L.... I....

    Incorrect.

    L.... I....

+Leonid Isachenko I agree with you, Ne Obliviscaris are the best prog metal band for me right now. Love BTBAM though

    L.... I....

@***** Well, Colors is really solid album. Addicted to "Ants of the Sky" pretty hard

    L.... I....

    Disagree greatly my good sir

  45. C.... S....

One of my favorite BTBAM songs. Most of the parts here are somewhat more conventional than their older stuff, but I must say I love this direction they're taking. Even if they'd write 4/4 arena rock they'd have that unique sound to them. I highly recommend you to check out Pregnant Whale Pain, they just released their debut album. It's a lot less technical than btbam (except for the vocals, dude has a massive range) and more conventional, but they're original and unique nonetheless, and pretty heavy too. Check out their "Album Preview 30 Second Samples" video, that'll give you an idea of their sound, see if you like it.

    C.... S....

Checked out Pregnant Whale Pain, and they're amazing. Nice riffs, mindblowing vocals and a truly versatile sound. You can stream the entire album on youtube, and it's brilliant. Thanks for sharing man, bands like this are hard to find!

    C.... S....

    lol that name

    C.... S....

@SilentFlightParty It's so cool to see more and more people are getting hooked on PWP. To me they kinda sound like a mixture between the big 90's grunge bands like AIC/Soundgarden and more modern heavier and more experimental bands like BTBAM or protest the hero. The grunge influence is more obvious, but there's a lot of odd time signatures going on in their music aswell. Cool band, they'll probably get big sooner or later.

  46. O.... ....

    12:57 till the end....favorite part....

    O.... ....

+Jeff Hart Totally agree, the whole ending is complete epic proportions

  47. F.... a....

Jet propulsion re-engage (NASA/SLS) A future towards mars

    F.... a....

lol soon enough, lets hope some research gets done on Jupiters moons within ourlifetimes eh? Titan and Io are both pretty interesting places worthy of sending drones.

    F.... a....

    jet propulsion DIS-engage

    F.... a....

    Ashton Fire again.. lol

  48. G.... D....

I honestly think this may be BTBAM's most epic song of all time.

    G.... D....

+Chris McCartney I fucking love the part in Telos after Prospect 2's wife kills herself, Prospect 2 loses it and i have never heard anger captured so perfectly in a song before, holy crap is it good

    G.... D....

TundraL5Z what part of the song is that?

    G.... D....

    #whitewalls
    #colors
    #originalepic

    G.... D....

Totally, super epic. Its a great journey!

    G.... D....

    @Golgari Rock Farm Rebirth, REBIRRRRRRRTHHHHHH

  49. D.... W....

The way he screams "GOODBYE TO EVERYTHING" toward the end is probably the best moment in BTBAM history.

    D.... W....

    Agreed! It's really intense.

    D.... W....

Drew Williams agreed. This song is their greatest work

    D.... W....

I dunno, I would put it in the top 3, with white walls and swim to the moon

    D.... W....

@James Howard same bro same. Its so hard to make that top 3 list for me, with selkies and ants of the sky and really every single fucking song they have being literally as good as those songs but those three really do it for me too

  50. L.... S....

Every song on the album plays into each other. The song before this, Melting City, ends similarly with a riff that is cut right down the middle which, when played next to this, sounds complete.

  51. U.... G....

I have given this video 240 views alone trying to play along to the track......

    U.... G....

@RestlessOblivion I haven't seen anyone post a guitar cover it correctly yet. I've seen a few guys cover it and do it well, but doing it by their tab book is WAY harder than most doods are doing it. I've been at this for over 4 weeks now and I'm only now getting 3/4's of the way through hahah... #skillboost  #whoneedsaguitarlessonwhenyouhavebtbam

    U.... G....

I will beat your 240 with my 666 plays ;P

    U.... G....

Uriah Graves: did you ever succeed?

    U.... G....

you do realize it's 1 view per ip address right? I mean to be counted as seperate views you would have to view it on 240 seperate devices

    U.... G....

Jay JayBee maybe he did he took his guitar everywhere with him to practice! Lol

  52. S.... B....

The few sustained notes just after 11:25 sound so much like the part right near the end of White Walls, just after the part that sounds just like the outro of Sun of Nothing. Let's see if anyone gets where I'm coming from here. It's not similar enough to be repetitive or boring or anything, I feel almost as if they're easter eggs for fans to notice after they've listened to the songs many times.

    S.... B....

I know man. =D I realized it when I first heard it, it gave me a serious case of musical frisson. Even the drums in the next few measures are reminiscent of White Walls. The rhythm at 3:05 in this song is similar to the beginning of Lay Your Ghosts To Rest and the beginning of Telos is similar to 10:25 in Disease, Injury, Madness. I feel as if they're easter eggs as well, lol, especially in Extremophile Elite when they brought back that one part in Specular Reflection.

    S.... B....

Thought I was the only one. Lol

    S.... B....

Also the guitar solo in this song at 10:23 is kind of similar to the guitar solo in Ants of the Sky! Opening riff to Telos is similar to disease injury madness ending metal storm. :D I really love this band, it became my most favorite band!!

  53. S.... H....

Best song on the record.  And every song on the record is incredible.  <3 <3 <3

  54. M.... W....

I just find it fantastic that this song followed by reprise flows butnso does goodbye to everything playing into reprise.  Its all quite.fantastic

    M.... W....

Pretty sure the second goodby to everything reprise kicks in, the universe implodes, just so epic when you listen to them together

  55. G.... S....

11:35 you can just kind of tell that the song (and album) is almost over.  Has that epilogue-type sound

    G.... S....

BTBAM are amazing at giving you that feeling. They seriously know how to arrange an album, especially concept albums. The flow is always just right, unlike any other metal band and even many prog albums I've listened to. The song/album "Snowtorch" by Phideaux gives me that same feeling at about 5 minutes from the end of part 2, and then the feeling continues on the next track. If anyone is open to suggestions, that is also an incredible album.

    G.... S....

Its the same feeling with Swim to the Moon and White Walls at the end of their respective albums. Especially with Swim, you get chills when it breaks down to the faint vocals and the lightly played chords. Its like you don't want it to end, but you know it has to.

    G.... S....

@George Suppa I know that Type O Negative is far from being prog or experimental or whatever, but i feel that same kind of notalgia in mostly all their songs. Listen the song Red Water, it has the same thing going on.

    G.... S....

    Weightless in a sea,
    A sea of space

  56. J.... M....

    FUCKING WEAKLINGS

  57. k.... ....

Everybody who says Mike Portnoy is best drummer ever clearly hasn't listened to this guy.

    k.... ....

@Tenchu Power I love Blake, but Danny is way more skilled.

    k.... ....

You guys should listen to Carter Beauford from Dave Matthews Band too. DMB is a way different genre from this type of music, but all three drummers had a background in jazz. That's some of the hardest stuff to learn.

    k.... ....

    @kazzdude1
Oh trust me, man. I  know that about jazz, haha.
It's even harder on stringed instruments.
But jazz drummers are godly. Some jazz musicians jerk off their instruments too much, but when it comes to skill, all my respect goes to jazz or jazz fusion musicians.
Check out Guthrie Govan (guitarist) jazz fusion.
Jazz fusion is even rougher in my experience.
But of course, jazz can rreach the same level of difficulty in general.
Jazz is one of (if not) the hardest genres to play.
Prog rock is right up there with it though.

    k.... ....

Thomas Pridgen is beast! Played drums some years for the Mars Volta

    k.... ....

I'm a big fan of Portnoy, but Blake Richardson is a complete demon.

  58. W.... C....

one of my favs...I´ve only listen to the album 2 times..that will certanly change.

  59. r.... ....

oh god it doesn't sound right without "Goodbye to Everything: Reprise" afterwards.

  60. g.... ....

It's a shame this song gets completely overshadowed by White Walls, Swim to the Moon, Telos etc. It deserves more recognition.

    g.... ....

I honestly dislike telos, idky. And I favor this over white walls.

    g.... ....

+Yung Lean Yung Lean Because White Walls, Selkies, Mordecai, and even Obfuscation have more memorable melodies and are far more iconic songs than anything on this big mess of an album, every great sounding part of this album sounds like it was taken from Colors in my opinion. I like bits and pieces of the clean vocals here and there but Tommy has gotten so damn cheesy here, way more than he was on the past few. As a huge BTBAM fan i'm honestly confused why people are so into this album, but I'm glad it's gotten them a lot of attention.

    g.... ....

@Steven Dixon I really didn't appreciate it until coma ecliptic came out and heard how different it was from parallax 2. I love all btbam albums though so I'm biased towards everything they do

    g.... ....

@Steven Dixon That's exactly where I see it the other way around, Colors has no wasted time where every LP after seems like they're missing the cohesive glue that ties every song on Colors and the lyrics seem to be the most cohesive part of PII

    g.... ....

I feel like all BTBAM albums have filler here and there, not to say thats a bad thing by any stretch of the imagination, a lot of the time on this record its to create atmosphere for the narrative in the album, Colors is a power house the whole way through but there is "some" breakdowns and such that maybe last a little longer than needed. I love every BTBAM album, even Coma Ecliptic although i try not to listen to that one too much to lose the flare of that album. Parallax is my favorite BTBAM record because this story is incredibly intense from beginning to end i just dont want to switch it off because im so invested. All their albums have their strengths and weaknesses and some people gravitate to different strengths, its all personal preferance

  61. J.... P....

I just feel like the first riff is missing a note at a fairly specific spot and having that thought makes that riff hard to listen to.

    J.... P....

Don't tell us! You know when you never notice something until someone else brings it up? Yeah. Do us a favor. (Not that everyone will agree with you...or even one other person, necessarily. But still.)

Plus I already have a bad habit of taking a song's lyrics and (practically subconsciously) changing the words around to be really juvenile, which then ruins the song for me when I'm trying to enjoy it but all I can think of is my new stupid lyrics. Ask me if I can still enjoy 'War Torn' by Nicole Atkins. Go ahead, ask me. I'll never tell another living soul what I changed the lyrics to, even if they insist. It's my burden and I must carry it alone.

    J.... P....

    Nope, it's just the timing.

    J.... P....

The first riff seems to mimic a fairly straightforward progression, nothing is really out of place. Mind elaborating? I'm curious what could be improved

    J.... P....

I think that's the idea of progressive, or maybe it's an unusual time signature. I prefer not to try and work it out because it ruins the awe of the piece!

  62. G.... S....

I've listened to the entire album before on YouTube and there are always these short little cuts in between the songs but can someone tell me if I actually buy the CD and I play it will there be any short breaks between the songs ??

    G.... S....

No there won't. The transitions between the songs are supposed to be seamless. The reason there is little breaks on YouTube is because the videos have to load.

    G.... S....

No, it's so seamless that I actually thought the album only had like 5 songs for the first like 10 listens through haha the songs all fit together Ridiculously well. This album could have been released as one long ass song :P

    G.... S....

@anonymous564 you must be a new fan of BtBaM ;P lol

    G.... S....

+anonymous564 I always think the little instrumental pieces are part of the songs lol

  63. G.... ....

i just took a huge shit listening to this song. one hell of a journey...

  64. A.... H....

5:00 to 6:00 is the most orgasmic minute music has ever created. lol

  65. G.... ....

colors, the great misdirect, parallax 1 and 2 are all amazing albums. i cant prefer one over the other like some listeners can, i just cant. the music they write is so good, it puts me in a musical zone i cant explain, no matter what album i listen to by these guys. the ending of this album made me cry just like every other album i heard from these guys (not including silent circus or there dubut album). so fuck the semantics or opinions that anybody has over which album is better.

  66. D.... v....

    Dancing towards our futuuuure

  67. J.... R....

I agree with that. White Walls is one of the best songs ever composed.

  68. C.... J....

Blake's fill at 10:50 has me in awe everytime I hear it. Too fucking sick!

  69. T.... ....

No they didn't. Wish they did though. But I understand time restraints and all.

  70. d.... ....

I am going to try and film the concert and see if I can get Blakes autograph on my Future Sequence cd. His was the only one i didn't manage to get from last years concert.
Btw did they play Hypersleep Dialogues also?

    d.... ....

    Success! I got Blake's autograph!
    Mission complete, over.

  71. T.... ....

saw them 2 nights ago and they did play the album plus... SPOILERS.... they played white walls as an encore. just remember to yell out encore when they leave after the outro of parallax 2. k?

  72. J.... B....

Why didn't you just buy the album if you were heartbroken?

  73. F.... ....

But you didn't really travel to meet them. Or did you meet them while you were still living in NZ?
BTBAM actually came to Israel 2 years ago, but I wasn't a fan back then.

  74. F.... ....

    Israel.
    Yes.

  75. d.... ....

That's ok. I am a big btbam fan and I know they are unique. North Carolina!

  76. F.... ....

Well there has to be at least a bunch of artists that are genuinely good in a sea of terrible and boring music.

  77. F.... ....

Haarp's album came out later, so if anything, they copied BTBAM.
You're right, I should've said that THM's riff sounds like this one.

  78. d.... ....

    to form new ....

  79. d.... ....

btbam are original. Haarp machine are not :OK buddy? )

  80. C.... G....

This is what metal was meant to be. Classical compositions with modern sounds.

  81. C.... G....

These are some of the best composers of our day! What this band has developed into is amazing. Beauty, angst, intelligence, creativity. They do it all. Its a shame some people write them off as just another screaming band but then again most people think pop music is well written.

  82. R.... ....

I'd have to agree with you there.

  83. C.... J....

Jet propulsion disengage...dancing towards our future. our future of nothing...a future towards nothing.

  84. C.... J....

    Fucking love this song
    <3

  85. G.... ....

And I already have my ticket for that show !!!

  86. N.... ....

Go to 5:13 to have the best eargasm ever

  87. k.... ....

I know that this song is structured with different motifs from the other songs through the album... anyone care to point these out for me?

  88. e.... ....

Until a while ago I always though that part was in french

  89. l.... ....

dude. this song is riffs from the rest of the album stitched together in a different order. (tying in with the whole space\time travel theme) and a few sections on this album recall the Hypersleep Dialogues EP. (i.e. "walking into a certain state of desperation...")

thought you'd like to know. listen to them back to back sometime. :3

  90. F.... ....

Especially given the fact that both albums came out at about the same time

  91. d.... ....

    giggity GOO

  92. d.... ....

if what you say is true i will hedge a bet and say that they both are independant of oneanother, as in nobody is following anyone.

  93. D.... J....

GOD that ending... The lyrics, the vocals, the drums, the EVERYTHING--it's all perfect.

  94. 9.... ....

I love how 13:29 till the end is the same riff that the song starts with. Such genius to end the song the way it started!

  95. R.... ....

Can't say I see the similarities. But as you say they're both good bands ^^

  96. F.... ....

The beginning of this song sounds an awful lot like a song off of The HAARP Machine's Disclosure
Nevertheless, two great albums by two great bands

  97. X.... ....

Colors was my favorite album until they came out with this masterpiece.

  98. l.... ....

Not yet but they will be doing a tour this fall where they play they entire album start to finish.

  99. M.... Y....

    Gives me goosebumps!!!!!! Sick band.
