its hard to say the best version when all 3 songs are different styles, barry mann wrote it so you could never take away the original, and Aaron neville and Linda Ronstadt's version is what probably brought the song to everyone's attention in the 1st place and its a very soft love song and in my opinion preferable then the others, Bette midler has a fantastic voice and will do any song justice but why change the name of the song ... to make the version your own!!?? ... a little vain i think ... just saying !
do your research before you comment. the song is called "dont know much" not by barry manilow but by Barry Mann who wrote many hits songs with Cynthia Weil ...... there have been 2 releases of this version bill medley and bette midler .... i think its nice to cover a song penned by someone but i think its an insult to change the title !!!!
