In the middle of my first listen and agree, it's so heavily distorted and the refrain sounds unharmonious / off key some how.

Well, it is Behemoth...it doesn't meant that they should make a better one, but it's just the same song in their style.

I don't think it was a good fit for them out of all the things to choose from in Danzig's catalog I suppose. They certainly made it sound like them, which is what Danzig considers most important in a cover himself.

This is a great cover. I'm a big Danzig fan and he's not easy to cover. I don't think a lot of bands have the balls to try to cover a Danzig song. Behemoth took the song and made it their own version and it rocks. Danzig's a huge Behemoth fan too by the way.
