the makers of Bohemian Rhapsody said that they are looking at making a bee gees biopic. the Gibb bros were the most prolific writers from the 1960s, 1970s and 1990sn. but a musical biopic would not work. the only person i could see playing Barry gibb as a young man is john bishop. because he looked uncanily like barry giib as younger man. but you cant replicate the vocal sound of the bee gees

yeah he does look like Barry..he's a little old now though they'd have Henry Cavill or some young thing.....

I mean, fuk sakes, this IS the greatest disco song of all time, right? Sure it may not have been aired in a ton of coke-fueled orgies, but it's just a damn good song.

@bitterangrydrunk in my 60 years, I've never heard a disco song that sounds like this. When I think disco, I think Donna Summer, the Tramps, KC & the sunshine band, the village dudes, etc. You know, superficial stuff.

@bitterangrydrunk A pop song. This is far to intricate for a disco tune. There's no steady thump thump thump thump thump for 20 minutes. You should be Dancing? Yes. No doubt they set out to make a disco record there. Somewhere along the way, the line got blurred and everything with a beat in the 70s got labeled as disco rather than the soft rock most of it was. Hell, even Devo had a beat. Weird and twisted but a beat nonthe less. 😃

Candi Staton's 1978 cover was a better disco tempo. In my opinion it's better than (this,) the original.

Don't get me wrong; the lyrics to a lot of great songs are disturbing. And you're right it doesn't really sound disco-y. But I still envision it as part of the soundtrack to many coke fueled orgies, which is a measure of disco to me. Of course I was 15 when the 70s ended.

As I sip on my Sailor Jerry and Coke, I wonder why in the world there is over 1k people who gave this thumbs down. With their high lyrical voices, smooth skin, hairy chests and enough hair to donate to cancer patients around the world...WHAT.IS.THERE.NOT.TO.LOVE?
