Beck, Jeff - Got The Feeling Lyrics

Yeah, the day is right, my friends
To live life as full as you can
It would do you no harm
Do what you want yourself
There's a fog down inside
I would like to guide, oh

[Chorus:]
Ain't no good being all alone
Life's a never ending road
If you feel like running (you wanna run)
You better slow down, what's your hurry now
We got the feeling
We got the feeling

Don't let sadness collide
It's the future you don't want to hide
Sadness will spread on your mind
So leave all your troubles behind
And I'll bring you the sea
That's where we wanna be

[Chorus x2]

  13. s.... h....

    clive steels the show

  14. A.... F....

The last two minutes of this video are completely wicked

  15. J.... R....

Beck has gotten so much better over the years, he is totally average here

    J.... R....

Why because he is playing for the SONG and supporting the SINGER? That's what this calls for. Doesen't mean it's not good. Actually it's great!

  16. K.... L....

Amazing tune! I will never get tired from it!!!

  17. H.... C....

jeff beck at his best, i wish he would have made more music like this, seems like he has undersold himself during his career. To me the later stuff was him going through the motions and lacking the cutting edge brilliance he showed earlier.

    H.... C....

you said it, brother. it's almost sad what he has put out in the 90's and up till now. terrible mess.

    H.... C....

none the less his still a great player

    H.... C....

you're so right u you'll never know. beck lost his way

  18. M.... H....

Does anyone know if all of the songs from this session are available on DVD ?

This is brilliant, the guitar solo getting me goosebumps, and what musicians!!! Incredible good bass lines, and the rest of them too. Just Got The Feeling! Truly!!!

    7.... ....

Max Middleton, still on the Circuit, played the Finecityblues Club in Norwich last night, with Charlie Harper Blues Band.

    7.... ....

    Bobby tench vocals
    Cozy Powell drums

  21. A.... H....

In terms of the longevity of a group, it just never seems to work when the lead singer is not the leader of the band. Bob Tench was/is an awesome vocalist but Beck was the leader.

    A.... H....

+Anthony Hicks — What makes you believe that longevity was planned? … Jeff Beck has always been about changing front men and styles: Rod Stewart (blues and rock), Blow by Blow (fusion), Bob Tench/Rough and Ready (R&B), Garage Shop/Terry Bozio>Jennifer Batten (techno-fusion or whatever you want to label it) and so on. He has great chops, but innovation is what separates him from all of the other great guitarists — kind of like Miles Davis in jazz.

    A.... H....

I was actually speaking more broadly, but you're right about Beck.

    A.... H....

+Anthony Hicks — thanks for the clarification. … I've also been listening to/watching JB w/ Jennifer Batten live (Tokyo 1999) — Yeowza!

  22. P.... R....

Now I know how those archeologists feel when when they find some new relic in the pyramids!

    P.... R....

    archaeologists

  23. d.... v....

That's a very cool looking Strat. Can someone give me more information on that amazing instrument so that I can fin him in my country?

    d.... v....

+daan visser - It is just a Strat with the finish stripped off (and clear-finished) with the bottom horn of the scratch plate cut off. You could do this yourself quite easily, though it would ruin the value of any guitar you did it to.

    d.... v....

Take any strat, cut off the pickguard from the bottom horn. Done.... :-)

  24. S.... W....

HOW DARE anyone give this a thumbs down!

    S.... W....

I know, laughable. Beyonce fans maybe?

    S.... W....

Saw him around 2007. One of the best concerts I've ever been to. Just amazing.

    S.... W....

    wow this is good

    S.... W....

    It's the best!

    S.... W....

only idiots that pick there nose with there thumb

  25. L.... O....

Clive was soooo cool on the bass!

    L.... O....

    Amazing musicianship all around!!

    L.... O....

    +Louise O'Shea — Very solid w/ a full, round bass tone that fits Beck's oft-times drone sounds.

    L.... O....

    jeff beck is superb

  26. B.... ....

Magic! Late 60s / early 70s, a great time for music.

  36. S.... G....

    bass player is awesome

    S.... G....

This guy play a super bass in the song "situation". Awesome, haha.

    S.... G....

Clive Chaman is his name. Dude is REALLY good.

  37. T.... .....

This is the most powerful tune from the album "Rough and Ready". Hey, who said the album is not well done? It has been my best favorite Beck work for last tow decades. 餃子定食さん、ありがとう!これは掘り出しモン映像ですよ!

  38. R.... H....

For sure the two albums Jeff did with this group kicked a lot of ass!

  39. H.... S....

    To te ja pitam !

  40. R.... G....

Damn, I was in a trance for 6.18

  41. M.... Y....

Cozy Powell needs to be on everyone's list of great drummers.

  42. M.... Y....

Kicks more ass than Chuck Norris.

  43. n.... ....

even better than the album cut.

  44. n.... ....

like the rough and ready album better

  45. i.... ....

Quite possibly THE most perfect hard rock album of all time.....the 1972 Jeff Beck Group release with the oranges on the cover.....and "Going Down" is the reason I originally bought it....now my personal belief is that THAT'S the worst song on it! lol

  46. K.... N....

I'm gonna watch it every day....one of the coolest things I've ever seen...

  47. s.... ....

I've been dying to catch a live version of this since 1972. It kicks even more butt than I could have imagined! Thanks for sharing!!

  48. l.... f....

Best electric guitar player ever. Not too many people will continue his legacy.

  49. J.... B....

No... not a lot of hits but if you happened to see these guys you'd be like DAMN THEY GOOD!

  50. J.... S....

Lol i toguth Jeff sang this.

  51. K.... S....

I actually saw this lineup at Hara Arena in Dayton, Ohio. They opened up with Ice Cream Cakes and did pretty much a lot of the tunes from the two albums this particular group did. They were great. It was the first time I saw Beck and he was amazing even back then.

  52. k.... ....

    All I can say is.....WOW!!

  53. e.... m....

My favorite song of the band. Awesome!

  54. d.... p....

    too good!

  55. V.... ....

    i watch this evryday!

  56. K.... S....

This was a really underrated band. Beck has been through so many permutations over the years and all of them have been good, but this lineup never seems to have gotten its due. Bob Tench was an incredible vocalist, Max Middleton really broadened Beck's approach and Cozy Powell was an amazing drummer. Very powerful band, but in a completely different kind of way.

    K.... S....

    Kevin Smith agreed

  57. d.... ....

These guys came through my town (Albuquerque N.M.) and yes they kicked ass.

  58. l.... ....

Where did you get this video? I had the CD from that version of Jeff Beck Group. It is a time he really developed his superior attitude towards making music. Damn what you call it, it is just great music done by great musicians. I saw him a few years before as Beck, Bogert and Appice and more recently with Tony Hymas and Terry Bozzio. I follow him because he makes me smile and feels so good to listen to. This is as good as any band of any musical style.

  59. f.... ....

Cozy's the drummer that every band wanted. Truly one of THE greats.

  60. 9.... ....

    Nigel Tufnell!

  61. p.... ....

    EXCELLENT MUSIC...

  62. m.... ....

This is one of my favorite Jeff Beck groups over the years. I had no idea these videos existed! One thing I noticed right off the bat is Jeff is using a pick. Saw him in Seattle near the end of 2011 and, of course, these days...no pick, just finger picking. Jeff Beck is the best guitarist in the world...

  63. P.... A....

@Invader8313 RIP Cozy. One of the greats.

  64. P.... A....

    Fantastic.

  65. b.... ....

    how to play drums

  66. c.... ....

of course this rocks because Jeff rules. but if you like the slide stuff he does here then check out the allman brothers doing "Dreams" at the Stonybrook concet. it's a masterpiece, too. it had to be the best I ever heard Duane sound playing live. it's worth a listen, believe me.

  67. n.... ....

@bigmetal16 Did you see what he did at 6:03!!!!

  68. n.... ....

@mistapat Are you sure only till 5:05.

  69. G.... ....

Saw this video and bought the albums. Gotta love you tube

  70. T.... t....

may I suggest an uber sick piece of guitarwork watch?v=-ShiyDntp3U

after this piece of SICK guitarwork.

  71. M.... ....

April 6 is my birthday! Awesome gift!

  72. b.... ....

    COZY POWELL!!!

  73. W.... ....

I can't help listening to this and think that this is the sound Lenny Kravitz was after when he first came out...

  74. T.... T....

    Coooooool ! ! カッチョ良過ぎ! コージーのドラムが聞かせます。それだけでおなかいっぱい。FUNK FUNK FUNK !

  75. T.... ....

What a great performance from the whole band! I saw Cozy live when he was drumming for Whitesnake and he had one of the most commanding stage presences of any musician that I have ever witnissed !

  76. J.... ....

Jeff Beck just leaves me speechless. What adjectives can be used to describe his talent. The guitar in Jeff Beck's hands fully and completely submits to his genius. It's like, "Yes, I am yours, handle me as you wish."

What sounds. What a band. What everything. Killer.

  77. K.... ....

    @watanuki1207

No problem. To answer your question, yes, this is the second lineup of The Jeff Beck Group. The first had a very young Rod Stewart on lead vocals. Most Beck fans, myself included, consider his 60s & 70s music his best.

Wikipedia has more info on them if you want to learn more.

  78. K.... ....

    @watanuki1207

Bob Tench (aka "Bobby" Tench). On rare occasions he played rhythm guitar behind Beck also.

  79. K.... ....

    Historic.

I know it's been said before, but Beck just comes up with one uber-cool lick after another, doesn't he? For that matter, this whole band just oozed coolness.

It's also pretty cool to see a really talented rock band that had enough creativity to sing about things other than veiled references to the devil *rolls eyes*, drug abuse, misogyny, self-to-blame angst or negative themes in general. I don't recall ever listening to this band & not coming away happier. Love this stuff.

  80. S.... ....

This is what jamming was meant to me. Wow.

  81. p.... ....

@mistapat Beck is of course good but check out some of Robin Trower's work if you havn't already. The guy is the worlds primo Blues Rock guitarist! Ridiculously underated 'cause he never wrote for the top 40 charts. Just wanted to create his own unique Blues Rock style. Peace!

  82. b.... ....

Jeff is really great! But he's only the cherry of the cake here. Max Middletown and Cozy Powell are unbelievably talented.

  83. L.... G....

    Ahhhh!!!!!!!!

  84. e.... ....

4:51 Fucking awesome move by Powell!

  85. m.... ....

@mistapat His last tour, he played little fast, flashy, or even complicated. Him just playing beautifiul melodies wiith his post Guitar Shop approach to playing where the voice is the most important element touched me like nothing ever. I am a guy who digs Jimi, Eric Johnson, Vai, SRV, Malmsteen et al. I have been a Beck fan since the late 70s and he always seems to be growing musicially. My prize possesion is my 73 Strat Jeff signed for me.

  86. A.... ....

    @bentpolski I agree with ya
But that babe he 's got now is( Tal ) can play some bass.

  87. j.... ....

The days when drummers and everyone else played from their gut with fire....not the stiff and mannered music-school stuff of today. There's NO music school anywhere that can teach you how to play like Cozy did!

  88. b.... ....

This is the shit, laying it the fuck down.

  89. T.... P....

Clive greatest bass player Jeff ever had! BAR NONE!

  90. c.... ....

This band indeed deserved much more reputation than than really got. This is a fantastic live act and pretty much shows where Jeff went on the next years!
I nearly can't imagine this is music was done about 40 years ago (when I also was younger than today...) - so fresh!

  91. T.... P....

    My Favorite Jeff Beck Band!!!

  92. p.... ....

Why is this video footage not on some DVD??

  93. T.... ....

    この時代の映像があったなんて!!ありがとうございます餃子定食様。しっかしこの頃のコージーの派手さはすごいですね。メンバーの中で一番派手かもしれない(笑)
