A brilliant reminder of what great, wild rockers the Beatles were.
I love this song
The whole thing is fantastic, all singing together, having a laugh about their bad miming, the audience reaction - just marvellous.
Think this is great 🎸🎸🎸🥁
I love that the only thing the beatles could never do was lip sync.

Excelente...!!!!!!!
Y todo el mundo coreando, como en un Jamboree....!
The Beatles were the worst at lip-syncing!.I guess they have to be bad at something.
George, es el mejor beatle, el que no lo crea, lo invito cordialmente a golpearnos para ver quien tiene la razón.
John Lennon's simple statement at the beginning of this song was prophetic, telling of something that would happen 5 years later. The final song on the final album that the Beatles recorded together in 1969 was called "THE END" (not including the 23-second Her Majesty gag/joke.) Here in 1964, Lennon says, "You've got a lucky face......THE END."
It was Ringo started to shake his head...cos he was in the back...then Paul and George took it to the front..I LOVE this song because they all sing...Got to love RINGO....
Lip sync to a pre-recorded track
George casi se ahoga con tanto shout.
Otis Day and the Nights might have the edge over this performance.
This song is a real lu lu ! ( Yes, the Isley Brothers but never mind.)

Very cute
What a great rendition of Shout!!!
This is terrible.. the Isley brothers singing Shout are so much better.
Playback. John not moved the mouth at the first time is did 'Take it easy'.
Such a lovely song, especially because all four off them take turns singing. Love you guys, God bless you John and George!
Thanks to Green Day who made me discover this song
Finally - A different version of this great song
John lennon guitarra vocal paul McCartney baixo vocal george Harrison guitarra vocal ringo starr bateria vocal shout
Energizing !!!
When Ringo started singing I lost it.hes so cute gAHH
Omggg I’m blushing!!!! He’s so cutee😭❤️
Isley brother>>>>>>
Ringo looks so cute bobbin his head around while singing
I think it's better than the original, just like anything they do.
What is the original ?
Pomme DeTerre search up Shout by The Isley Brothers. They made the song not The Beatles. Also I think the original version that the Isley Brothers made is better than the Beatles version in my opinion.
@jayman0341 Pro thank you
I think Isley Brother's is better, but I like theirs too
This was in 1964 wasn't it?
"God bless you" -John Lennon
This was before he became an Atheist. He has also been a Hinduist in between... George died Hinduist, Paul (I think) is still hesitating between Hinduism and christianity and Ringo doesn't seem to have ever been a religious person: he was the first one of the Beatles to leave India in 1968.
Love that they all took turns, one of my favorite songs
Ya got a lucky face...
Not quite the best at lip-syncing, were they?
@the girl in question They started out in the 1950s. This was inexcusable.
@Enrico Sanchez yeah i don't think it's quite as over the top as 'inexcusable' and nope they started performing in the early 60s, get a clue mate
@the girl in question My clue was when I heard John singing, yet his mouth was closed.
@Enrico Sanchez yeah but your statement was wrong, they didn't start performing until early 60s. also, just because they're lip syncing doesnt make it 'inexcusable' what are you, the fucking queen of england?
This is actually a playback! The original recording without the screaming fans audio is actually available on bootleg records. A shortened version has also been released in the "Anthology 1" official album (studio version, same way).
me encanta este tema es mi favorito de the beatles
best JL I wish he'd let the camera guy key on him. Great rocker!!!!
This was not a live performance. The Beatles recorded the all the songs for this show live on tape at BBC studios and lip synched to the recording during the TV special. Notice no amplifiers or guitar chords on stage.
GT Albright okay cool. So?
@Sean Reffett its just an interesting fact. Dont be a jackass
Cheers columbo 👍
Still, The Isley Brother did it before and did it better.
they started up stealing from the isley brothers and later on learn towrite they own shit. but they use to just copy black artists smh
live on tv, thats our john
Jump up and mime it now.
This is one of my fave songs...they all sing....the way they did....great!
Kind of an annoyance about John... On a few performances, like this one and 'You can't do that', he asked the cameraman to focus away from him. I'm not sure why but I'd love to see him taking out 'Shout' and playing lead on 'You can't do that'. Happily that's the only thing on the Beatles 'I wish' list. I did see them twice and actually heard them once. Second time was one the last tour. John looked like he'd rather be anywhere else doing anything else. They'd just released Revolver and were playing to about 20,000 screeching maniacs who couldn't hear or see anything. I was in row 16 so I could actually hear them. They were good. A lot of fans peed themselves so by the middle of the 30 minute set, the place stunk of pee. On the plus side, it was easy to meet teenage girls which was okay because I was a teenage boy. Thanks Beatles!
Paul Cadogan damn, so you must be well into your 60s I'm assuming?
Don't care about that-- this clip is wonderful to hear and whether John screws up or not, it matters not a whit
What did John say at the beginning ?
"Thank you! Uh, thank you very much! God bless you, you've got a lucky face, the end!"
Molly Lancaster Grazie mille. Thank you very much. I couldn't dictate the word “face”.
Rudy Starr I love Paul!
great john lennon screamer and great band
In the (clear)words of John Lennon from 1.38, 'Just fuckin' shout now...'
The description says 1965. I know it was filmed in '64 after The Beatles had won their NME award that year.
You are right. I may be wrong, but i think it was filmed in May 64.
The interesting part of this that all four of the Beatles take turn singing that song.
Very Rare!! but i think "Carry That weigth" is the only song in wich they sing all together at the same time
Darío Farid
Oh! That’s right!
Maybe also —and very appropriately— All Together Now?
Wish they did more songs like this
they all do vocals on ‘Flying’ too
Darío Farid all together now though
It ain't the Isley Bros, but it'll have to do.
Yeah, how dare the Monkees perform it.
