Old young lady who plays very good trombone with my trombone section, on a good night or "gig" we'll end up with 6 trombones+12 trumpets. Baritone horns a complete wind section + sounds pretty good !
Forgotten golden music from a lost generation, music today cannot compare to the old standards done so eloquently by Barry even if no one else hears........... I do...I've been involved with music since I was eight years old and listening to my parents and grandparents era of music, there's some good music and entertainers out ther, but you have to look hard and wide. Thanks Barry for this piece of history.......
Absolutely right- today's music cannot compare to the standards. A thoughtful, intelligent, heartfelt lyric, rich music that made you feel good/romantic/happy/sad, singers who understood they were doing more than singing notes and bands like the Dorsey or Miller or Ellington outfits playing these gorgeous arrangements. There are a lot of us still listening and loving this wonderful music.
