@KentlyCantlie He would only call to call off the job. So no calling would mean the job is on, and if he called it wouldn't matter what he said. The number he calls could be a disposable phone, it could be a "wrong number," and the phone he calls with needs to be legitimate (his everyday phone, because he isn't using it for anything suspicious and having a disposable untraceable phone when a bank is robbed could be suspicious). So it wouldn't matter if he was caught.

@Jmblinn13 By going in and scouting out the bank about 20 minutes ahead of time. This would be best by having a third person that appears normal, to go in to withdraw money from their account, and have them call in case there's a reason to call the job off. otherwise it's green for go, and he would get robbed just like everyone else. The trouble with this is he has done nothing that could be proved to be illegal, so he could turn the others in without any problems.
